Arguably the best scene in the 2013 movie "The Wolf Of Wall Street" in which Jordan Belfort creates his brokerage firm 'Stratton Oakmont' and shows his employees how it's done.

My father got caught up in one of these firms...First Jersey Securities. The brokers name was Bruce...I forget the last name. Long story short, he bought a handful of real dogs...one was Odyssey Filmpartners...I still remember that name to this day. Out of all the dogs he bought, one made him enough money to break even...Nippon Steel.

Originally he started out that way but yeah he probably chose rich people because they could afford to lose the money and you'd make more ripping them off.

Doesn't matter if he scammed somebody earning $36k or somebody earning $36 million scamming is scamming end of the day. Regardless of who he scammed people work hard for their money so when they lose it through getting conned, it's wrong either way.

Back in the day, people would have to call in a brokerage house to buy stocks. You're essentially doing the same thing online today, just without having to talk to anyone else.
@warbob24306 жыл бұрын
Because they don't know shit about stock, they just want to get rich. If it's too good to be true, then it most likely is not true. There is no quick rich scheme unless you're the private bankers at the federal reserve who make money, and then loan that money for free, and then charge interest on it. That is fucking criminal, and they get away with it as well, because they own the fucking country.
