@@the_mulattos As an LGBT person, I'm not LGBT because I'm rebelling against conservative values. I just like people regardless of their gender. I assure you sexuality and gender is not anyone's way of rebellion. If it was a form of rebellion it would be a choice and I can assure you: Most of us would not choose to be LGBT. Just simply existing as an LGBT person can make you the target of hate crimes, homophobia/transphobia, etc. So, yeah, in short LGBT people are not LGBT as a form of rebellion. That's the main point.

I’ve been loving the fem/women-centered content, it - to me - feels very appropriate. You keep a really good balance between “girlies let’s do better” and “good grief look at this clownery” - not tearing women down, but not holding women up as incapable of doing any wrong. Again, a good balance.

What I find so ironic about women like The Transformed Wife is how they're using the rights that feminists fought for. Being able to state your opinion on Twitter or in general? That's the right known as freedom of speech. Before women were allowed that right, they weren't really allowed to express their opinions openly. Yet, these women so publicly express their opinions. Like, make it make sense - if you believe women shouldn't have rights, don't use them 🤦

What's also funny to me, is if while they are going on about abstinence until marriage a person says "oh, I don't want to have sex anyway, I'm asexual," they freak tf out. They want you to have the temptation, you _have_ to suffer, no matter which way you put it: it is only right to them if you are suffering or hating your life. They see queer people who are finding their places and loving their lives and it pisses them off (same with those of us who choose to be child free) because _they_ hate their own lives and have been taught that is how it is meant to be...so everyone else has to be that way too. Can you imagine if every wkman stopped working?! What a fucking catastrophe that would be for society. As for "useless degrees" she shojld tell that to women like Marie Curie and Rosalind Franklin, etc. Not to mention all the nurses, doctors, teachers, social workers, and lawyers, etc, all of whom have necessary degrees 9sometimes more than one) and are essential to society, without women in those fields, there would absolutely be a crisis (hell, we're already struggling in the UK because not enough people are training to become nurses, doctors & dentists). People like the transformed wife are always full of hypocrisy though and hold ideas/beliefs that are against their own interests, yet always seem incapable of seeing the irony.

You know men wouldn't agree to this because they would look like a sucker and eventually they would complain about having to support us. You could also cheat on him while he's gone too and when he gets back act like nothing happened and go back to cooking. If you want to bring down the patriarchy remind them who would have to go fight in a war if all the men got drafted then they just gave you a 12 month vacation away from them by the time they got back men would some how not have any human rights either but it would only be a temporary hold until they find out who's responsible for it.

It's the Just World Fallacy. They think that as long as long as you're a good person that does everything right, then nothing bad will happen to you and you won't need the protections afforded by equality. "I would never need a divorce because I'm a proper submissive, godly woman that won't emasculate my husband, unlike those liberal feminist!" This is obvious nonsense to anyone with a passing interest in reality, but it's how they rationalize all the failures of the system they uphold. @DimaRakesah
@DimaRakesah Жыл бұрын
Plus the 1950's house wife image is 1) Overblown, most working class and poor women still had to work to some extent and 2) Was not the norm throughout the vast majority of human history. Working class and poor women have always had to help outside the home with farm labor, running small businesses like doing laundry or sewing for neighbors, helping with the family business, working in service jobs, or had a regular job themselves. The housewife who never works and only cares for the home and children is absolutely not the norm. the vast majority of families today couldn't afford to live off o a single income, so expecting this is just expecting families to be poor for god or whatever. On top of that they expect women to pop out as many kids as possible. Can you imagine the poverty this country would have if minimum and low wage workers had to support lots of kids? It would be like the damn Depression all over again. And they claim people shouldn't get married and have children till they can afford it bust MOST FAMILIES cannot afford it, so should the population suddenly just plummet because only the wealthy marry? It's just ridiculous.

Also, I read that bible front to back (I went to a Catholic School) and there's actually detailed instructions on how women can terminate unwanted pregnancies. It's been practiced for over a millennia- and the fact that we now have it so that women can go get one done by a licenced medical professional where the risk of dying is not as high as it would have been in the 14th century should be something that is applauded not taken away from us. It's clear that many people who claim that they are diehard Christians like the Transformed Wife do not actually read the Bible they preach to others. Also... Also... There's detailed instructions on how to commit and ethnic cleanse/genocide in that holy book but let's not mention that. That book advocates for war rape...

I was around kindergarten age when my parents divorced. Obviously it wasn't a breeze to experience, I was very young and it was very scary and hard for me to understand. I was lucky enough for the whole thing to be a relatively civil process and yet it still took a very long time and a lot of counseling afterwards to emotionally heal. As bad as it was though, looking back on it I would not want them to have not divorced. Even if we chose to take their own feelings out of the situation, there are so many people (including the entirely new family I got through my stepmom later on!) that I wouldn't have met and things that never would have happened if my parents hadn't separated. Hell, in a weird way divorce made the whole covid aftermath easier to experience since for a long time the regular switching between houses was the only new stimulus I got regularly since I wasn't really going there besides that. Obviously divorce is never going to be a fun and easy thing to go through for the parents or the kids, but in the grand scheme of things it's basically a hiccup in comparison to the constant misery that would come out of people forcing themselves to stay together.

Same. My dad became an alcoholic after marrying, and it was extremely difficult for my sister and I to live with him. Divorcing and getting out of that situation brought much needed stability to my life. My father is still an alcoholic to this day, and I am now 38. I have no doubt that if we stayed I would be incredibly unstable as an adult. People who insist that children "need fathers" are really only concerned about preserving the nuclear family, not what is actually best for the children.

Despite what they will go out of their way to claim, most "pro-life" people don't actually believe abortion is murder any more than I do. Informal survey data almost always shows that "pro-life" people and pro-choice people don't differ greatly in their social reactions to abortion. Most pro-choice students in one study said that they would offer support to a friend who had an abortion, while most "pro-life" students said the exact same. Both groups also said they would not do the same to a friend who committed real murder. There also wouldn't be so many who make exceptions for rape (unless those same people would argue it also doesn't count as murder to kill like. A 20 year old. After you find out they're a product of rape, which I doubt very strongly). They also wouldn't be focused on abortion, because of maths. In the US, about 600,000 abortions are performed yearly. But 2.5 million rounds of IVF take place. Per round of IVF, an average of 8 eggs are used but only 80% get fertilised (for 80% of 8 to get fertilised, it'd have to be 6.4 fertilised eggs, but we'll round it down to 6). So 2.5 million rounds of IVF but only 500,000 births a year. 2.5 million times 6 is 15 million, meaning about 14.5 million "babies" are "killed" (according to "pro-lifers") by being discarded as part of IVF. If they were all that serious about abortion "killing innocent babies", surely they should be equally as opposed, if not more, to the industry that "kills" over 24 times more "babies", right? But no, most will never utter a single word about it and plenty of them even partake in it. People like Abby Johnson wouldn't be hailed pro-life heroes either. Abby Johnson used to work at a Planned Parenthood in Texas and had an abortion herself. Now she's supposedly a "pro-life" "advocate". Now let's think about Maxine Robinson, a woman who committed actual murder on all three of her children. Imagine if she kicked up a fuss in court about how she's "so opposed" to killing babies, preached the gospel and went on about God having mercy on her, then she tried to rush an anti-child homicide organisation (like POMC) like Abby Johnson did to Coalition for Life. Firstly, she would NOT have gotten off scot-free, she got 13 to life. At MOST she maybe would have gotten a reduced sentence, maybe 5 to 20. But secondly, do you think an organisation like POMC would take her seriously? Hell no. At MOST, they wouldn't idolise her and hail her a figurehead like the "pro-life" movement does to Abby Johnson. Unless the "pro-life" movement treats women who have had abortions the same way an organisation like POMC would treat someone who commits real child murder, take it with a grain of salt when they claim abortion is murder. Now how would you treat someone who has committed murder? Probably with fear, right? You're scared of them because you know what they're capable of. 1 in 4 women will access abortions in their lifetime, so unless "pro-lifers" are scared of all women, knowing there is a 25% chance that any of them have "committed murder", they're definitely not very convinced that it is actually murder. Be real though, how many "pro-lifers" are refusing to enter an elevator with four women in it, since statistically one of those four women has "committed murder"? How many refuse to have more than four female friends? Get real.

Ever since then they hated each other and oozed with passive aggression all the time they were in proximity to each other. To say this affected me is an understatement, I avoided staying at home and I still feel uneasy at times when I stay at a new one, even when nobody is around. My parents only separated when I got into university at the age of 17. I grew up walking on eggshells and unable to deal with conflict of any kind. Divorce would be so much better than this

I’m so tired of Christian or “traditional” women claiming that people who had to make the difficult decision to terminate their pregnancy, didn’t do it out of love. So many people put their own feelings aside just to make that decision. People make that decision to avoid putting trauma and difficulties on a child that didn’t ask to be born. People have made that decision because they know they cannot give that future child the life they deserve, and that so often means not being selfish. No child would choose to live in poverty and a bad environment or without their needs being met, if they had the option to have a different life, but the ONLY people who can make that decision is the person bringing that life into the world. The women bringing others down for making that hard decision are way less loving and way more selfish than they accuse others of being.

I normally agree with most things you say, although I’d like to point out that not all parents (even women) have an easy time loving their children. It’s not natural for everyone, I know some women who have children and their journey of post partum depression is having a hard time innately loving the creature who caused their body and mind immense trauma. Many women struggle with the secret they keep from the majority of society the regret in having their child. Not to say they abuse them if they feel the regret, but it’s just not the most loving relationship for ALL parents across the board.

Totally agree. Education is never a waste of time. The problem is we've turned it into an investment (and requirement for employment) and the value of an education based on what its economic returns are. Education has great value to people personally and to our society as a whole. It seems foolish to me for us to gatekeep education based on cost, as well as to say some types of education are more valuable than others based on the income they can help create. Bring the cost of education down so that there is no such thing as a "waste" of education.

Cool video, My relationship of 5 years ended a month ago. The love of my life decided to leave me, I really love her so much I can’t stop thinking about her, I’ve tried my very best to get her back in my life, but to no avail, I’m frustrated, I don’t see my life with anyone else. I’ve done my best to get rid of the thoughts of her, but I can’t, I don’t know why I’m saying this here, I really miss her and just can’t stop thinking about her.

I think the funniest part is, not in the video, but the fact that I got an ad for memberships for the Daily Wire before starting this video LMAO

I’ve been a subscriber for over a year - or so I thought. Ever since you’ve been mentioning that 60% of your viewers are unsubscribed, I have been double checking to make sure I’m subscribed, and to my surprise, I’m not! At least five videos in a row now, I have to re-subscribe 🤔 so hopefully that’s some kind of glitch KZbin can fix and get those numbers where they’re supposed to be 😌

If loving your children doesn't feel natural to you, hand them off to someone else. I'll take them. Try having a career instead. If your career doesn't work out, try a different career. Maybe try having children again, or try being an auntie. People are all different.
