Lek is on a mission to save the Asian elephant in her native Thailand. This film looks at the plight of the Asian elephant, as it goes from being a widely used domestic animal, to a burden on modernising communities. With experts predicting its extinction within four decades, this touching documentary shows how the elephants need Lek more than ever before.

This beautiful elephant whisper is in fact, an Earth Angel, who chose to come to our beautiful planet to bring loving awareness to the plight of elephants, thereby, saving them and perpetuating their continued existence on this planet, our home and their home. My heart is literally overwhelmed with love for her, our Ellie's, and our magnificent Earth home!💗🕊🔆. Her wisdom and actions (and all those who work with her) are pure blessings from Source!🌹

This was very hard to watch! I couldn't watch the parts where it shows the elephants being abused😭. I love elephants! They are my favorite animal ( besides my doggie). They are an amazing animal! It broke my heart to look into the eyes of those that were not happy, you could tell, and they had tears running down their faces. I cried watching this 😭😭😭. I love this woman and her bravery and what she is doing. I would love to somehow send her money ( I don't have much) every month to help her. She is absolutely right- she has the best job in the world 😀😀. If I could I would absolutely love to go help, be a volunteer. Thank you so much for sharing this video 😍!!

@@andisandis3144 You will NEVER be able do anything about it in Thailand as there are NO laws to protect the elephants there. They are treated as commodities, not living, breathing, highly intelligent creatures. Traditions be damn! They belong to past era of thousand years ago not for today when there are no forests and no wildlife left! India has same old traditions but they have laws now to protect elephants. NO elephant is own legally in India. They are confiscating them. And owners go through courts for abuses. THIS will never happen in Thailand.

The humans have taken over the territory. Elephants belonged to the earth from the beginning of time. The numbers are dropping to vital levels. In India when elephants raid crops the farmers can get compensated. More needs to be done to help the farmers and reduce harm to elephants. Thanks for the heads up on “ hard to watch” I’m not going to watch something that leaves me with a whole in the heart.

I am in tears seeing the abuse these peaceful elephants are going through. Especially the one which was forced to breed and had so much injury. Why would a tourist want to ride an elephant and watch an elephant drawing? They are trained and abused to reach this stage.

I started following her on instagram a while back but I had no idea there was a documentary about the wonderful work she does for and with Elephants. Social media can often times be a toxic place where the negativity can be shared from one person to thousands within seconds BUT it also gives us the opportunity to see things like this happening that probably wouldn’t be possible to most of us without it. Lek is a phenomenal person who is living in her purpose and making a difference in the lives of so many individuals. Non human and also human. I hope her journey exceeds anything she could have ever imagined for herself and the Elephants. 🇺🇸

I have paused go comment, I love Lek and her helpers with all of my heart!!! MAy the LORD provide her with everything she needs to place all elephants in captivity without proper land and gentleness into the largest area of land possible!!! My heart is aching something terrible and shattering into a million pieces for these beautiful peaceful most of the time beings!!!! The governments should out law captivity of elephants, only due so for safe naturalized free keeping when they have been inijured and what not but never for work!!! Rides out of love and respect especially for those who have known it all of their lives is good for them but it must not be forced and captivity and ma hoots or however it is speeled must be fased out as soon as possible!!! I wish I could be right there helping Lek!!! I will be sending her money!!! How much would $20.00 US dollars equal to her there? Anyone know?... Im gonna google! I looked it up!!! $20.00 U.S. Dollars exchanges to $664.16 thai baht!!!!! I pray that is a lot for I will be sending $20.00 to Lek now every month and possibly to other sanctuaries as well or maybe split my 20 between two!!! I can do that even on my limited income!!! Because $10.00 would be $332.09 for two sancuaries!!! Wow!! Even if a person can only spend $10.00 or even $5.00 which would be 166.5 a month!!! I know if I can do $20.00... Many can do $5.00!!! Lets make life better for them!!! I totally get the need for the touristic value of the elephants and agree it is more safe for the elephants...as long as it done in a loving way as Lek does it then I would know the elephants would be loved and respected!!!! All of my love and the love, blessings, forgiveness, protection and grace of our LORD ALMIGHTY, unto Lek, Derick, helpers and you and yours and theirs, today and always!!!!

After seeing this documentary, i just realized that she is the women in one of the elephant pictures i have. Indeed, that is the best job in the world as she said it. She, alone will not save them from extinction in Thailand....there is only 1800 left in Thailand (maybe less) and not much forests left as well..they have no home to stay and live.....it would take a lot of money and commitment from authorities, organisations and public to re plant lost forests, fenced off fields, rangers to guard and protect them from harm, additional feeding wild populations as needed....PLUS all enslaved, abused ellies need to be put into sanctuaries....I am not seeing that happening in my lifetime or my children'.....Thai people still believe they have right to chain them in their backyards and ride them at will...THOSE traditions belong to gone by era when there was jungle aplenty and 400 THOUSANDS elephants in Thailand alone....

These "training" sessions are so violent and cruel, mind boggles!! Those poor babies!! One day, Thailand will have ZERO forests left and ZERO elephants and other wildlife. They do NOT deserve ANY of it anyway!! They are losing it all but they are not changing in their treatments of nature or elephants! Lek is a walking, breathing Lady of Mercy. She deserves all our respect and support. I am soooo glad Covid19 emptied Thailand of tourists! For now at least, those poor creatures stay in villages and close to forests and rivers. Hated every minute of this film, but thank you for being so open in showing us these horrors.

Who do they think they are? That person is nothing next to that beautiful creature who never deserves to be abused!!! It is well known Elephants 🐘are emotional animals. They mourn their dead, wild Elephant mother's go as far as seeking human intervention if their baby is in danger. Just watching this video you can tell how intelligent they are. Humans however always take advantage as they do with any animal they think they can use to make money. Either by using them for hard labor or riding and doing tricks for human amusement. Abused in the tourist industry much as trail horses and donkeys. How cruel is it to take an animal that has the instinct to live in a family group. To be forced to live solitary, being beaten forced to do heavy labor, carry tourist or doing tricks. By being forced into submission trough a hook put in your flesh. As tourist we can make a difference. By not riding Elephants or go to animal entertainment but rather choose to see Elephants in their natural habitat. Happy in their families.

Left this video at 12:37 because the sound mixer has an obsessive compulsive disorder to drown out the narrator with background noise. Not music, because unwanted sound is noise. 👎

Why the countries don’t have laws or make laws to protect wildlife it’s so unconscionable to me it’s immoral unethical and inhumane I will never understand why there are not more people to protect defend and rescue or even more people to protest for wildlife even to set up a fund for people to help with costs if can’t help on ground I appreciate the ones that do and I realize nice comments don’t pay the bills so I hope it gets results thank you

Elephants are one of my favorite animals, yes they can be dangerous but we did harm them first so I'm really happy to see that in some parts of Asia people do care about Elephants because unlike the African Elephants Asian Elephants may go extinct because of us, I do respect Thailand more since training Elephants are getting better and more safe for the Elephants but India I got no respect for them they kill Elephants and hurt them while training treating them bad and go on news and cry about Elephants hurting them bad, it's not the Elephant's bad, we did hurt them first
