Humans tend to choose and make decisions based how they are treated. If the situations and people around were encouraging and supportive then her choice would have been different. Great story ! First of all, kudos to the team for putting effort into creating such a wonderful short movie. I loved the characters and also the lead's acting skills. Her transformation from a silent girl to an outspoken one was commendable. While I understand this is a content-driven short film and has a piece of message to give, I still fail to see why the girl chose to walk further into the world of exploitation? I know, some of you might argue saying that it's a give and take business, but she had a problem with men treating women in the most degrading way ever, and yet, she is there on the street doing exactly what she hated (only, this time she chose to do it). In my opinion (raising hands), she could have tried more jobs and perhaps her struggle could've been genuinely projected in the film. However, this one appeared more like a shortcut to earning money overnight, which is not a great message to give. Also, she seemed more confident and happy in the end, and I'm only assuming that could be because she is now willfully into the profession than being harassed every day at work. The title of the movie is also a bit confusing. Woh aurat (that woman) could suffice it, but this is nowhere close to being a housewife's story. From the first shot till the end, she is the bread earner of the house. Just my two cents, here.. no offence.

@Homosapien Well, if we just look it as a story and fiction then surely will watch it as a tele serial.But what i said is reality. We all face different kinds of situations and challenges and as a woman who faced, i mentioned my comment. Every woman fights these, in her own whatever level from our grand mom days. And we knw what to do for it too. There are different kinds of women too, and with changing / changed times there are many options compared to olden days, and we want to change the narrative. Things might not work idealistically but atleast she will face different sect of problems than watching the same ones, day in and out and with in the limits. Its surely the woman’s choice who accepts or disposes it.

Had she not had a woman's body or suppose she had been ugly, then she would have tried searching other ways to sustain her life and her family's needs. This was shown in the case of auto-rickshaw wala. He said that he was fearful of exploitation that he had to go through if he works in some company/firm...and that's why, even after being educated, he works as an auto- rickshaw wala. She should have also resorted to other solutions instead of getting into this work. Jab finally ghutnaa hi tekna tha toh itna dinn suffer kyu kia...struggle kyu kia? India ho ya koi western country, woman exploitation is everywhere....kahi Kamm kahi zyaada...baahar nikley ho toh fight toh karna hi parega Though the beginning part of the short film showcased the truth of our society.....but this is in no way the only solution to get out of it. Great work no doubt. The film is based on truth and this is most important for any kind of art work. I like the film because very practically a very sensitive issues dealt with and there is no acting. Every actor has given their best. It doesn't seems Kinnary Panchal, the actor in lead role has appeared first. Direction and music both are superb. But while making a film length of the film should be given prime importance so far as the subject matter of the film is concerned. Need more such film, which display the truth of our society.

Also you must have observed, there are different men (boss, pimp, useless husband, owner, autowala, his stalker at busstand) with different views about women. World is men-centric and woman cannot satisfy everyone's views. It is Suffocating (not only in the car with smoke) for her at home, terrace, workplace, public place (busstand, bus, auto) and even on roads. She is not helpless but instead made helpless. Living itself is insulting for women. Men had made life horrible for women. But why?

Work place is work place. It can be home, office, garden, school, court or a street . Work is also worship. When you keep your principles simple you lead better lives. Perhaps that woman is treated as a slut by her boss. There are also other woman employees to compete with . There are other candidates who want jobs. Everybody wants some sort of remuneration for their work. A woman's reputation is so easily destroyed by people as if it is some fragile piece of glass. And we as women are so cautious that people don't consider us a fallen woman. We shun those women the society labels as slut. Marriage is a big advantage. So women consider marriage to be end of all problems. Once she is married she will act like she knows more than everybody. Pride and prejudice showed this married women syndrome very sweetly. A married woman automatically gets respect . It's not her nature, but her status.

And there are good men too ! all tht said there are some affirmations to note, of woman sexuality when she say 'mujhe bhi' in the car, the auto driver not taking the fare ...👏👏👏...ah ! What I understood the concept, not only for women, in many points with every human, when someone tries to live within social ruleset, define there weakness, fight alone the life struggles to survive maintaining those boundaries and weaknesses other people try to take advantage with it and keep him/her loosing the boundaryline, thats a power game over her/his weakness. But when the person realizes no one inthe society is to support her struggle, she/he gets out of the social norms/fear and convert their weakness into strength, then people stop playing power game and leave him/her alone as they know he/she is not that weak to control anymore.

Why did she do that!!! I did not get the concept...she could have been something else better than this. Message of this film was not appropriate because she left her job to save her dignity and then jumped into this occupation, message could be better one. Disappointed!

This movie has a unique concept that depicts a brutal reality that society is unaware of. The ending that you are expecting seems very easy and the only option. However, the truth is entirely different from what appears. The movie does not intend to portray what a person must do; instead, it attempts to depict the reality (of some people) of what goes on in the lives of so-called ordinary people, which has to be acknowledged. It's difficult for us to grasp because we may never experience what they go through every day.

Such men are always sitting at the corner- to pass judgement on women. God forbid her bra strap shows by mistake, then she is a cheap women(translate asking for sex/rape/molestation). He was saying she is such a decent woman her bra strap never shows- as if women want to show that to attract random men on a bus or on the streets. Women lead a busy life, and sometimes wardrobe malfunction can happen, doesn't mean she is offering her body for sex.
