I had delicious Burmese food in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in recent years. NYC used to have a place in 3rd Street I believe owned by Chinese-Burmese. There was a Chinese translation of the Burmese Glass Palace Chronicles, which might be germane to US interests in the China and India border areas. Also wasn't the Mountbattens viceroy or governors in India and Burma? Ms. Zhang is fascinating.
