My mother had a doctorate degree and married a man that didn’t finish 7th grade. He was a hard worker and provided for her. He retired with 50 years of service on the same job. My Mom became a housewife something she wasn’t able to do being married to my dad. She didn’t leave him, he died, so she kept her vows. All I’m saying I’ll marry a man that works on the back of a garbage truck as long as he treats me with kindness and respect and brings his check home and not waste it in the streets. Education and status in life is not everything if you have no common sense. A rich man can give you 5k and it means nothing to him. A poor man can give you $9 out of his 10 and who would be the most generous. Real love is not about what you have it’s about how you feel about yourself and your ability to display that same affection to the one you love. Water seeks it’s own emotional level.

Rom Wills ~ Not Just talk. Allot of good brothers are overlooked because of the car they drive or the station they hold in life. I’m glad my parents taught me to look inward and test the spirit. We as women are to quick to give up the goods because they feel incomplete unless they have a man. They don’t realize that they are the prize. After you’ve given away the pearl in the jade temple what else do you have left to offer. To my sisters, complete yourself. Be happy without. Increase your territory. Buy land. Open up your own business. Don’t look for a man let him find you. God didn’t make Man for us he created us for him. You are the prize.

TheonlyChocol8one - A hard lesson learned my brother. These so called top tier brother usually look for trophies also known as dressed up garbage cans. They look good on the outside the have the hair the nails too body everything that looks good on the arm. But their guts are rotten on the inside and invariably wind up cheating because the didn’t test the spirit. have you ever seen a real good looking guy with a girl that you could put a paper bag over her head? Well I have. He chose her because he tested the spirit. She listens to him. She comforts him she’s his friend his lover and his wife. His backbone which means she can get the job done in case something happens and he can’t. That’s what my mom did when my dad got sick. A real woman. People don’t understand true love these days. Top tier SMH.

I say this all the time, and i will say it again: There Is nothing in this world that is a greater asset to any man walking than a BAD CHICK who really got his back! A woman who adds VALUE and brings PEACE to her man's life is a rare gem among a sea of hoes and thots. When you got something going for yourself or have goals to get something for yourself, and she helps you get there while supporting you mentally, you hang on to her. Problem is most women don't understand that they are an ADDITION to a mans life, not the center of it and damn sure not in charge of it.

MayaEJa'Nae Jo we're guys. We're dumb and easy to please. You can keep ANY MAN YOU WANT happy if you just do these 3 simple things. I call them the three F's: Feed Him, Fuck Him, and be Fun. That's literally all we want. Make good food for that man, give him good loving in the bedroom, and bond with him in a way where you are recognized as HIS woman, and not just one of his options. A man will do whatever you want him to do for you as long as he believes you to be worth the effort. Most women play the game backwards. They let the dude jump through hoops setting himself up for boyfriend position while not doing anything to set herself up for girlfriend position and be mad when he doesn't take her seriously. The plan shouldn't be "make him wait 90 days to see if he's worth it," the plan should be "how do I get him to STAY after the fact"

A lot of men don’t understand that a womans greatest need from a man is attention and affection. If your not willing to make her the center of your life, get a transgender. They have less oxytocin so am guessing they can do without attention.

Good Day Jeremiah, You have made a lot of lovely points but what of men who support women and their dreams and help to build them as well. Not an addition to you, but I have seen many men with their hands open looking for that woman to help build them up and truth be told, a lot of them are lazy. They aren't working hard and just looking for that moral and emotional support, but a lot are looking for financial and physical support as well. Tell me your thoughts and have a good day.

The power to have a better class of women is actually in the hands of the man. If they would stop giving so much attention to the trashy women, then these women would change their standards to match what was required by these men. Instead, men say they want one thing, but still chase the opposite.

Rom made an important point. For all the furor over Black men being with white or non-black women, the overwhelming majority of Black men are with black women. People look at what a couple of celebs or other high profile Black men do and project it into some kind of trend. It isn't.

Mr. Wills, stumbled upon your channel. Pleasantly surprised!! I'm 55yr young Black woman. From my experience most of what you say is true. I love my Black brothers!! The swag, confidence, strength & many looks of a Black man is so very attractive. I'm blessed to have given birth to 2 Black men. Though I've had bad experiences with their Father's, I will be forever grateful for the children we created & share. They were my best friends. I enjoyed the good times we shared & can appreciate the struggles we endured. Only wish we could've weathered the storms. I'll never turn my back on my brothers. The world is hard enough on them, I will not be a part of their demise!!

You know when you see the exceptional, beautiful within and without, classy black woman! I guess it's like what women say about the really decent black man....THEY ARE RARE INDEED, but when you see one oh they are a sight to see. The most beautiful thing about them to me is when they get their education and not let their education get them. Translation: they do not allow their degrees to make them think themselves superior to others (this is a Eurocentric trait). Instead, they simply keep their education in it's proper perspective. They can recognize when they see a man who may not have the same level of education that she does, but he has several proverbial PHD's in Integrity, Self-discipline and Awareness. She understands that her place is not beneath, but beside him. She resists the constant temptation lurking within her to try to manipulate and control her man thus allowing him to BE the man he was called to be. She understands her power and uses it to uplift those around her, not tear down. She's out here fellas. Not all of them are hoes just like not all of us are not Dogs. If we get caught up in the myths we'll miss that one when they are right in front of us.

I agree! Unfortunately many Black women are conditioned to hate Black men because of possible abandonment from their own fathers. Luckily, my father has been married to my mom all my life and has always been in my life so I don't have a hatred for Black men. I feel bad for the women who were abandoned by their fathers but this is not an excuse to berate Black men and expect to have one want her.

I agree here as I grew up with my married parents going into adulthood. The majority of my black female friends who grew up with no father have unrealistic, fairy tale views of the man they seek and subsequently feel they deserve; however, they have no clue on what they should bring to the table as a woman to receive such a man. I hear very superficial wants and needs (looks, swagger), outrageous expectations (take care of me and my bastid kids) and little to no give and take (I don't have to do anything for you, matter of fact, I don't NEED you). In turn, they fail consistently and remain single (and used up).

The thing I have against educated women is, lots believes that carrier first and man and children after. I have chosen my carrier along with my man first and oops I got married while still in university. My hubby said that he alwarys knew that he'd marry a black woman on the same level like him. The truth is, many black women who didn't attend HBCUs in their prime years missed the boat on meeting quality men in their 20s of their same match due to proximity. Less black men are enrolled in any college compared to black women. Two, there are a plethora of quality black women comparatively to quality black men. So, if every quality black man in theory chose a quality black woman as his partner, there would still be left over quality black women without a partner due to the numbers. As more black men end up dead by 30, are more likely to have a jail record, multiple kids, underemployed and virtually lack in any skills compared to their counterparts. I am speaking of black men as a whole, not anecdotal "exceptional" black quality men. Third, black men, as all men take a longer time to mature than black women. Women unlike men choose to date men that are similar in age versus men who choose much younger women. So, if a black woman in her 20's is quality and looking to settle down, many black men are either not ready nor seeking to settle down at that time, which makes it much more difficult for a quality black woman to find a mate during her prime years versus non black women whose counterparts are able to settle down at earlier years. For example, white men have the maturity to marry early when they find a quality woman. Black men will pass up a quality black woman because they know their are more quality black women than quality black men and will use their 20's and 30s of squandering quality women's time. Whereas other races of men are willing to marry once they find a good woman. So, it puts quality black women at a disadvantage to meet their match even in their prime years. Fourth, let us be honest, the black community overall does not produce a lot of quality people period. At least not since the 1960's. Many of what remains in the black community is prolific with single parenthood, gang culture and an emphasis on material acquisition. Therefore, for many quality men and women of the black community it is hard to meet their match. So, lets be real and stop putting all the blame on black women squandering their youth. There weren't that many quality men to choose from in the beginning.

But that guy is usually with a latino or someone else. Because (most not all) black millennial women wouldn't know what to do with a guy like that. Or when a black woman finally wants to get that. Sadly the problem, is men are attracted to youth and beauty, so if your 30 your gona be competing with 21 year olds. In most cases if your after decent quality men its less likely they will commit long-term. Mother nature and time waits for no one. The same men women pass on in their youth, become more attractive long-term mates as they get older. these men get more options and are even less inclined to settle down.

@grandcanyon2
@grandcanyon2 6 жыл бұрын
i just turned 30 myself 7 days ago, and people think iam age 19-21. I was just being honest about how men think. The reason women in their 30s and 40s are having trouble getting long-term commitment is because men in their 30s and 40s are trying to leverage, their looks,money and social status to date women in their 20s. If all the 18-29 year old women in the world died today, marriage rates for women in their 30s an 40s would increase dramatically. So as men get older and their mating options increase their less inclined to settle down and marry. Your very own comment is proof of that, their is a reason at age 30 your looking for these men now, which you probably wouldnt have during your prime years ages 14-22. When your a young women in your prime the mating market is in your favor you can have casual sex with men at least 2+ points higher than yourself. And your not alone the market is flooded with late 20s early 30s women looking for beta providers. So now men see their options improve they can date women their age or younger and have less reason to settle down.

Thank you for clarifying! Goals, Class and Azz Let's keep it 100% but some WOMEN are Top Tier $$$,$$$ too and want some one to still court, date and treat her with respect even though He makes less...RIGHT!....Representation, Co-operation, Down with His Plan= Protection/Security...Attitude is everything goes both ways...vs Options!..... Men have baggage and Issues too! SOME men are the first to start bashing, calling women bougie and stuck up. BUT IF ONE HAS BEEN EXPOSED TO CERTAIN THINGS AND CAN AFFORD OR ARE ACCUSTOMED TO CERTAIN TREATMENT of life...WHY SHOULD A PERSON SETTLE? Some apples and oranges are not compatible!

Rom Wills I see and I completely understand. I have seen the horror as well and I have seen how it has made a lot of single women with multiple children bitter. I have seen these same women lower there standards for the sake of having a man. Its not a good look. Its important to stress the importance of marriage before starting a family. Our community has a lot of single motherhood and it creates an unbalanced. I got married in my mid to late 20's and I don't regret it but now that I am single again I am amazed with this new dating culture. It has changed in the past 10 years and I'm not at the top of the pecking order anymore. Not to say that I'm not a good catch but from the comments I have read, written by other men, dating sounds complex going into 2018. So either he has to be a single father or its a no go for me. I can deal with a solid gentleman that is a single father. It would be difficult for me to date a man with no children. How could he understand me when it comes to that? It would be a headache!

There are so many things that come into play concerning relationships. At the end of the day individuals must be whole and have common ground. I hear my Brothers issue their wish list and most sound as if they want a servant or a demigod. Everyone are prone to have character flaws and it requires patience to see something grow. We have no more patience or compassion for each other as a people. I guess it is easier to have a garden that is ready to harvest than to customize and cultivate your own.

You have to think outside the box. It's not what you make so much as it is about how you move it. I was making $14/hr and bought my first house (nice house, good neighborhood) CASH. Rom Wills : Rom, your compliment is humbly appreciated. The circle you may enter in, may or may not be a blessing because the masses do what many do. Usually non-original thinkers. There's so much more to a "Man" that requires an in-depth look into the character of his content, inclusive to you as well. Spiritually, respect, loyalty and the list goes on. It is vital to know what each other wants for both parties, yet it is imperative that the actions are performed and not just featherless words... Love is very sacred this is why I don't settle. Loving, communication and building on a solid foundation is absolutely key. Though, I must admit this has been very damaged as "Females" do not understand the power they possess. Being a "Woman" is a title you earn, it has absolutely nothing to do with gender... Vie~

My latest experience was I am a professional and my job sent me to South Florida to take care of a region for 2 years I had a condo in South Florida I will stay there during the week but I will come home on the weekend. The guy that I was dating first of all got upset when I took the position. But I was not married to him and I was not going to let him destroy my career. When I got off the road I came back because I had a home here. What I experienced was because I didn't have a need for him he would get angry. I will explain to him I'm with you because I want you but I don't need you to take care of me. I also experienced where because I had my own finances I made it clear to him that you still don't get a free ride you will still have to contribute to this relationship. But I dealt with a lot of jealousy because I was a strong woman and a successful woman he felt intimidated by me but there was nothing that I could do I would let him know that these were the attributes that I saw but I was who I was.

Daron Gates I have a masters degree however I do not feel that a man necessarily has to have a degree to be in a relationship with an educated/career driven woman. I believe that education can come in a variety of ways such as life experience, street smarts, trades, reading, self educating. Some of the smartest and most successful people I know which I'm proud to admit they are in my family are NOT college educated. As a matter of fact I'm the first in my family to have a college degree. The one trait that I've noticed with people who although are not college educated but are still successful in their careers is that gift of gab and having the ability to effectively communicate and articulate themselves and build rapport with people. I guess I have a different perspective when it comes to education. Oftentimes especially when I was dating I didn't mention my education because men immediately got intimidated and things would change. I even stopped allowing men to come to my home as well because that seemed to be an issue. I think some of the issues these men face did not have anything to do with me but underlying issues they had within themselves. I think you allow people to make you feel a certain way (less than or inferior, intimidated). I wouldn't have a problem with my man not having a degree however he should still have the ability to communicate and network in professional settings. because of the work I do I attend alot of mixers conventions conferences etc so his interpersonal skills are a must.. I don't think any sister has a problem with a hard working man I think the problem is the men that are doing the most complaining about educated career driven sistahs don't have their stuff together. In that case it's really easy to claim that someone is making you feel less than when you don't even possess the basics. I believe everyone has got to bring something to the table. When one person is lacking it just doesn't work. I use to date a truck driver and it was nothing sexier than this man coming over after working hard that day and giving me money to shop. He was confident with himself so my education/career did not matter to him. I think it all boils down to if you are confident with the path you chose in life or do you know deep down you could or should be doing better.

SHENA CROWE You are 100% correct. I am currently going through a major setback which is why I am not dating at the moment and I do not have my degree and/certification(s) as of yet but to address what you've said about alot of us men is that yes, we do have our own insecurities when a women is college educated and presently successful. I have "some college" experience but I have knowledge on alot of subjects that I educated myself on so I would believe me to be dumb. I personally feel sometimes I don't deserve that woman regardless of how "good" my character is because of the lack of accolades, trophies, and high income success. One of my lessons was recent. I've met this classy, beautiful, black teacher on a dating app and infact she hit me up first because she liked what I put on there mind you I don't get much "select" play plus she was just the woman I was looking for. Long story short, we've dated, I spent too much time and money with her instead of getting to know her and eventually she frienzoned me and I'm not blaming her or bitter about it. I subconsciously felt that I didn't deserve her because of her status and me not having ENOUGH sexual energy and confidence to keep her around and not feel like I've waisted time. Believe me, if I can date or chill with someone like her again regardless if my ducks are in rows, I would do it in a heartbeat with the added lessons I've learned. You are a queen and you deserve a king secure in his skin regardless of his titles but his work and moral ethics. I'm glad to have good dialog with you too Ms. Crowe ☺😉

Thanks Rom sir. Your views are on point and hilarious as well, however, I'm curious as to why you stopped at Delta's and AKA's. No shade because I love all my sista's, but do you really think most Top Tier Black Men think the same? If so, then this may be the very reason we can't find these dudes!!! LOL! No, but seriously, have you thought of Military Retiree's or other Sororities? My friends and I retired under forty and I must say that I've never met a group of women that were more beautiful! Other successful black women have never been to college and are doing quite well also. There are so many black, classy and down to earth women that have yet to be discovered man! I hope more sista's can agree with me because we're out here looking for the same thing these Top Tier men are looking for. My opinion is when you've reached a certain status in life, being out on the hunt is no longer an option. It's too risky and many of us don't trust these online Date Sites. We really have to rely on faith because running into someone of quality is almost impossible unless you're at an event or an outing. One last thing. Your demeanor is just what's needed on both sides, men and women. It's cool to be educated and have class, but if you don't have a personality, then bye!! I think that's the one thing I didn't hear you cover is a dry chick! It sends chills up my spine to be around a snooty woman! You touched on negative attitudes, and I totally agree, but it's nothing like being around someone that can't open up, laugh, and be human. All the education, good looks and class in the world means nothing if we as women can't learn to just be relaxed and laugh at our mans corny jokes every once in a while. Some women don't realize that small things like that or helping him rake up leaves, take out the trash or start up the car on a cold day is all it takes to keep him nice and snug up under her. Now that's it because that other side of men does creep out no matter how good you treat him, so I'm going to end on a safe note. (Smiles) I really do hope that those who are searching find that special lady or man because it's nothing like Good Black Love. It's a beautiful thing.

Rom, you told the truth. Men, and happily married women (which I am) will appreciate your words. If a woman doesn’t respect a man’s vision or doesn’t want to support it or follow his lead, she shouldn’t entertain him as a suitor. Looking good & staying fit isn’t just about the body (though it’s super important to look good for your quality man), it comes with a mindset & attention to self care that is attractive to a man. If a man is willing to respond to a woman’s expectation of protection & provision, I think it’s just wise for a woman to respond to a man’s need for visual stimulation & satisfaction...nothing unrealistic, just demonstrating pride & care, and attentiveness to what floats your man’s boat. Good men always return the consideration. I’m not sure why it’s so hard to honor the nature of a man (esp if someone is looking to have one commit to them). My advise for men & women: only involve yourself with someone who cares about, is attracted to, and can love how God made you. It’s what I’ll be telling my son when he’s of age. Take care.

Preme Foreign black women present no better an option. Many are just as bad, many more still hate being black and hate or dislike black american men....and there are fewer available as foreign black women that have it together overwhelmingly get with men of their own culture and the rest overwhelmingly date interracially. Most non american black women date out at far higher rates, and openly express that preference. It leaves just a shitty pickings for American black men on average. your chances of getting on with a good one are almost as bad as getting a very good black american woman. Even going to those countries, besides Africa with their vast number and everybody being black, you're more likely to get on with mixed race women of the carribean and latin america.

Well, when does the women focus on her dreams? Waiting to Exhale was an example that sticks out to me. Angela Bassett's husband left her after she help build their company. I see your point of view but is their a way that the woman can guarantee that the man will help her with her dreams. How do you feel about online dating?

A sensible man will help his woman with her dreams. Some men even take a secondary role to support the woman.

I have a neighbor who married a black woman. He is from Europe. He married her to get his green card, and didn't intend to have children. But she "forgot" to take the pill. She proved to be remarkably difficult; she spanked the children with a belt buckle, accused her ex of attacking her- and he was unable to defend himself, given the Duluth doctrine, where men are not listened to. So he did enough prison time that he can't work in his professional career any more. She kept the divorce going for 8 years, and bankrupted him. Her sons will not talk to her, because she still plays abusive mind games with them. She calls him up, every now and then, to whine because she can't find a boyfriend. He had to cut her out of his cell phone directory. Is this typical of black women? I don't know. I do hear many black men saying they much prefer Hispanic women- because "they always be talkin' up they man, they respect they man". My Caucasian exes were abusive. The variety show Sabado Gigante used to have a section, where Anglo men would talk about having Hispanic girlfriends, or wives, usually in bad Spanish, and you can see from their faces that they are getting all they need, in every department. The Hispanics laugh. Do you remember Captain Hook, nervous about the clock the crocodile has inside, ticking? Yeah. So, a man gets a choice: a woman who is grossly disrespectful, or one who is desperate. Think about that choice.

A strong woman makes for a strong man period.....regardless of all the accolades. The thing that trip me out about a woman is she don't want to be a side piece...but always putting their family before them and gets mad when the man seeks attention somewhere else.

When you call the guy and ask him out, you've got braces in your mouth. As teenagers, I was just making my intention known. Now you're successful and realise you could do better. Men changed the script on us. So it's time for them to elevate. Why does mainstream media not take young black men seriously. They need to be taught that it's not all that glitters is Gold.

Mr ROM Willis, hello. We are all part of a flawed existence. We must be careful and quite prepared for what we ask for. I submit to you that no one method is the better of several methods which yield the same desired outcome. I found your video to be quite interesting.

I dont equate professionalism with dating. Competion in the work field is stressful enough. As a woman dating is not a option that way , I have found it unattractive intelligently.

I just came pass this channel. The black women gets a bad reputation. I see some quality black educated women. The top tier black men for me is a god fearing man with drive and loyal. Through my years, I have dated a Surgeon, Capt.of Fire Dept, business owners and even a PASTOR. The insecurities issues are unbelievable. I don't have a degree and I was a single parent. My work ethic is off the chain; I brought my 1st house at 28years old, (3rd house now) my son was 5yrs old. I didn't have my father; but I had an incredible uncle. I'm smart, confident, please no drama, classy to elegant (killer smile) and been successful. I don't drink or smoke because I go to the gym. The body (Coke Cola) God gave you is to be treasured. Most black men young and old guys say I'm attractive, but they can't seal the deal. Once they see your class and your not putting out the ass. They are limited in their approach. The top tier professionals ones I met come with baggage. I'm not impressed by the tiers, but I will always celebrate a black man's accomplishments. Back in the days the black man didn't ask "What are you bringing to the table? My people , THE REAL BLACK MAN brought the table; the woman's job was to make it up and take care of that table.... UMOJA. I want your STATUE of a man; not your STATUS. I'm looking for the God fearing man who stands by his word. A real black king (God willing). Let's keep it real, the tier black men has easier options and he wants something different. Now were getting into self love, but that is another chapter. I apologize for the long note..Lol.

Thomas Washington III Hello Mr. Washington III, If some black women in the streets are acting a fool; then they have to be accountable. The media who takes a few of the black women who prefer to act undesirable and give them a show. The people who take television and social media as it's "ALL BLACK WOMEN" reality. I'm personally not a sitcom character or a video vixen.

A video isn't complete without one of Uncle Rom's stories. Also, a woman is often regarded as a reflection of the man. So, for the top tier black man such a woman has to be the total package as well as get with his program. Nas' song, "The Makings of a Perfect Bitch" explains that. However, there is still the issue of the "bait n' switch". So, a lot of men need to be vigilant when dealing with women. She could possibly be a masked woman.
