Johnny telling Nathan how he likes the “It’s low tide in serotonin bay” line and Nathan just ignoring him, really represents the young emo me showing my not emo friends songs for them to skip.

The Wonder Years are soooo fuckin' good. Nathan, I'm shook. I've never heard someone not liking Dan's vocal, but hey, it was bound to happen! The Greatest Generation is a perfect album and, "Low Tide," gives me TGG vibes for sure. Johnny is talking about their, "Sister Cities," album.

100% brother, Sister Cities doubled down on that super dark, more artistic emo energy which isn't for everyone. Not the most ideal starting point with TWY, Johnny stitched Nath up there a bit 😅 There is SO much more to discover and love about this band, I hope he gives them another shot 🙏

The comment about the chorus lyrics are interesting, I liked the contrast of the intense, emotional lyrics in the verses and the basic 'cause who gives a shit' lyric in the chorus. Almost felt like he's saying who gives a shit writing more lyrics here, but maybe that's just me. Killer song anyway, not usually a massive fan of the wonder years but this song ripped. Keep up the good work on the reactions lads.

Love TWY, will be catching them on their London date in November. The way Dan writes about his mental health struggles has always really resonated with me, it's always tinged with defiance. This is probably the fastest, most up tempo of the recent singles.

The "growing out my hair cuz who gives a shit" line is probably my favorite part of the song! Very relatable for me, I'm growing out a pretty messy beard and haven't been getting "low reg" haircuts anymore

What’s cool about the growing out my hair lyric. He was playing around in his basement with his kids during the pandemic. He was singing random lyrics during and that was one of the random things he said and they made a song around it. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

Sweet, so where's a Spanish Love Songs react at, then, boys? LOL! Saw them together earlier this year and it was an epic show. Loved the react, and yeah, "Growing out my hair cause who gives a shit" is obviously the hook, the show of desperation that sums up the rest of the song. And it's great that he took Low Tide from that set of lyrics hat are very much a stand out of the whole song. Dan's mental health has always been a driver of a lot of his lyrics and the way he approaches the subject is what makes him one of the best lyricists out there, along with the way Dylan from SLS approaches things in his life, and the universal shit we all deal with. They both are very relatable.

I had no idea you guys reacted to emo and melodic punk type stuff as well as metal so this took me by pleasant surprise. TWY are my #1 band of all time, I have three tattoos related to them, I've adored them since 2011 and once followed them up and down the east coast when they toured here. Low Tide is the best song they've written in 7 years. Please react to more songs by them 🙏

Nath… I know you aren’t a big fan because of the vocals BUT… try the album “The Greatest Generation” listen to the whole thing because they bring back pieces of a bunch of tracks in the final song and it just feels so good. Otherwise it’s definitely hit or miss for his vocals for a lot of people. I love it, some hate it.

I think you just need to be a bit sad to really connect with the Wonder Years. Seem like old mate is just a bit too much of a happy person to get into it. I can see how it would be grating for someone who doesn't experience any catharsis through the lyrics. I don't think he got the point of the who gives a shit chorus. He's literally saying "who gives a shit", no shit it's a simple and lazy chorus.
