The final song on the album "You're the reason I don't want the world to end" deserves a reaction of its own too. Even though there is no music video out for it yet. Even Dan, the vocalist, stated its the best song they've ever written and what he'd show to anyone who wanted to know what the wonder years was like. And after about several dozen listens myself, I'd completely agree. I hope you guys consider it. Cheers!

Agreed, I transcribed it for Genius and was fucking crying by the end of it, it is so emotionally draining yet it means so much. Soup has outdone himself with this album and I can't imagine how he's gonna cope with singing these songs every night, honestly.

I just saw them live in LA this week and the singer, Dan, was talking before this song about how they are closer to the end of their career as a band than they are to the beginning and how the pandemic gave him a lot of time to think about their legacy and what things will be like "when the magic's gone." He went on to talk about how they are so intentional with the bands they tour with because they believe they are the future of the music scene and while they have never felt stronger as a band, they know that they will not be making music and touring forever.

Spanish Love Songs has talked about looking up to the Wonder Years before so the connection you're drawing with their music makes a lot of sense. They've also toured together twice? At least twice, I got to see them both times, it's a stellar pair to have playing the same show!

This video was great and a total surprise as it came out on the eve of the album (which we already had, thanks to VPNs and your great nations down under, this time we used NZ since they are an hour ahead of you, to get the songs from KZbin). This album is very much a return to form for the band, not that I don't love the last two albums, as they are the albums I discovered the band during, but I feel like they took all the growth of the last two albums and used the best bits and mixed them with the sounds from TGG and Suburbia and even some of Upsides to make a very mature version of Pop-Punk. And I do know that Dylan from SLS listened to TWY so I'm sure that is where he picked some of the sound up from, but Dan doesn't have the vibrato that Dylan has, a lot of his vibrato seems to be almost involuntary at times. He jokes about it as the sheep sound. But I digress. Seeing TWY and SLS together on tour was a dream. And the fact that Save Face was on it as well was the icing on the proverbial cake, though it wasn't buttercream. ;)

I thought I was going mad when Johnny was just slowly getting wider and wider and wider until it got to a point that he was just so absurdly thick that I realised what was happening. Also do one of you always wear your headphones backwards? You both have the cable going down your shoulder closest to the other guy, which would indicate one of you are wearing it wrong.
