this song saved my life. i remember when i was really sad and depressed. then i listened to this song and when i heard the lyric, "we are a lighthouse burning on" my heart was filled with such happiness that i mowed my neighbors lawn at 2 o clock in the morning because i wanted to share my happiness. thank you telle. i fucking love you.

Im not a fan of heavy music in the slightest but this song has just grown on me. I cant understand how people don't see how the song and video relate. She doesn't just drown in the sea i see it as she is committing suicide and the poor lad who is madly in love with her saves her life. The song is saying you dont have to choose that option as there is always something good to look forward to in life and to just keep going on. As the meaning 'lighthouse' saves peoples lives by shining a light in the ocean it relates to the saying 'there is always a light at the end of the tunnel' also as my close friend who is a massive fan for the word alive this type of 'slow' song was the type of songs they brought out when they first ever started as a band.

I think it's incredibly important and admirable that they put out a song like this. Not only because it has a really good meaning, but because it's important they can show that they can make music that doesn't sound like their usual. They tried something different, and it worked.
