I would like to mention that I used the whole package of phillo which contain 18 sheets in total ( 8 layers for the base part and 10 sheets for the top part, without any tiny crumbs left, no waste spanakopita), For serving suggestion, I personally consider this as main dish rather than appetizer, so I just like to have lemon widges aside to squeeze over my piece of pie with some good tea ( I love black tea with sage, yummm).
