Thanks for the comparison! I’m disappointed with the OM4 since it refused to charge after a year of not using it during lockdown. The other Hohem gimbal i have for my action cams still works and charge perfectly. After watching your video, decided to purchase the V2 for my iP13 Pro Max. I think the combination will work perfectly!

For beginners user in gimbal... recommended using X2 @ V2? Plan to buy but still wondering should I go purchase X2 or V2 ... V2 got LED lights n Ai X2 got face detected.. Maybe can advice me to choose since your already using the both gimbal

Which one would you recommend for just shooting walking videos? No need for tracking etc. Is the X2 good enough? have an iPhone 13 mini. Will these gimbals allow me to shoot in wide angle? Can I use these gimbals with any apps or do I have to use the proprietary app?

👍Terrific review. Very helpful. Thank you. 💝 ❓What is the folding lock and unlock for? The item located near the top of where the gimble twists & turns (item # 07 in the user manual). It doesn’t seem to “lock or unlock” anything. ❓How long does it take to fully charge the battery from empty to full?

the purpose of the twisting the knob is to allow you to lock/unlock after you fold/unfold the gimbal I have never do a test before but based ok the internet, it took 2.5hours to charge the gimbal 😁

dont use fast charging, use a 2V / 5V charging port.

Thanks for this comparison. Great job. I have the X2 on my Christmas list but was wondering if the V2 wouldn’t be a better choice. I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max. Do you think there’s any advantages to the V2 other than the AI tracking because as you mentioned, you can use the sensor on the phone with the X2.

I guess it’s depending how frequent your film yourself. I would suggest you to go with x2 if you’re only filming your family because then app itself did a pretty good job even without the AI sensor 😉

@@PlaybyPause I ended up returning the X2 for the V2 and have a lot to learn about just setting it up. I video historic regency & civil war balls and country dances (contras & squares) and folk music performances. I’m not typically in the shots but the AI function intrigued me & looked to be future proofing.

I got the V2 a couple of weeks ago and love it, but my only gripe is that when I shoot underslung, the gimbal does rotate/flip my phone but the video that is shot is upside down. Am I doing something wrong? I guess it has to rotate the phone or the camera would show part of the gimbal arm. I'm using the back camera. Do you edit your video in post and make it right side up?

To make videos, I use either Power Director Pro (free APK on Google search) or Slick Teleprompter Pro (I think only $5 lifetime fee when you download the regular version) because I get nervous when talking to a phone and a teleprompter helps me to look directly into the camera and stay focused on what I'm talking about. I got the V2 because I can use the AI sensor to follow me around when I'm at a park or hiking and I feel more comfortable talking when I'm moving around. Maybe I'll do a video like explaining the gravitational pull of different planet while showing different stretching techniques at a park. Who knows.
