Yes, and in few months Viltrox will have problems like mine and customer service will not help you! Don’t buy Viltrox guys, by Sony, Fuji, canon etc which are reliable and will fix or change the lens if there is a problem. Just check the reviews online how bad customer service they have and that they ghosting ppl

Low light low light. I don’t care soit the sensor size. There’s always a lens that would correct the focal length. I wish the technology would enable small sensors to have better dynamic range and bokeh

There is no reason for going for a crop sensor. Always choose a Full Frame. The intention of the video is good but if you have the money always choose full frame.

Not in all countries. A7c and a6700 almost same price here. And the lenses-unles you use g or gm lenses- like sigma, viltrox, tamron lenses, even samyang has very same price on full frame and crop sensor one. Additionally not all lenses big and heavy on full frame actually. Only sigma art series ara big and bulky and heavy. Just buy full frame contemporary ones or use primes that are much smaller.

No free lunch. You get what you pay for. If you can’t tell the difference buy what’s cheaper. If you are a pro and get paid to deliver better images go full frame. There is a difference if you know what to look for.

As a DP the 35mm kinda forces me to get my composition and lighting right. 50mm is good also but sometimes it could be a crutch due to the compression.

Honestly the Samyang is great if you don't mind that chromatic abberration and fringing. I personally am really bothered by it and I am in more shooting scenarios where I encouter it. I sadly sold my Sony to switch to Panasonic, I really regret it. While I honestly think that the Panasonic S5IIx is better than my old Sony, the lens selection is awful. I have the S35mm and S85mm, the abberration and fringing is sooo bad, I'm really disappointed. It's so bad that I am starting to think there is something wrong with my sensor but online research seems to produce the same result, the lenses are the problem. I think now I will just make the switch to Leica to have as a B cam, Hasselblad as my main cam soon. (Hasselblad is a lot cheaper if you know where to buy) I won't sell the S5IIx tho because it's just an amazing camera overall, maybe there will be more lens options soon, Sigma and Leica really make the only good L Mount lenses I have found so far. I still think that the Samyang is the better option for 99% of people tho, way better value depending what your needs are. Just quickly want to say I really missed your videos, I still don't understand why your channel doesnt have at least 50k subs, you produce some of the best camera content out there. But I have noticed a pattern with other channels too, people who actually do interesting videos, are not much in the algorythm, it's always about newest camera, newest lens etc. (Big brands only) I hope you will continue to make great videos like this 🔥

I like your points about 50mm. I love 50mm. 35mm is just wider for me causing distraction in my framing. I love the background separation which 50mm could do better. Looks 3D. And if you record in 4K 60p those depth will be accentuated further more.

This is of interest. to me since I was looking at the Canon R10 as an upgrade to my SL1. One of its biggest drawbacks is the small battery on the R10.. While it has some issues with overheating as measured in other reviews, I don't think its going to be a major issue for me initially at least. as long as I can get 15 minutes it should be acceptable. That is sufficient for indoor use. The fact it is $800 less than the FX30 is a great price for its feature set. I don't think its lack of IBIS is critical as it does have a stabilization system, it is just not IBIS. This is what makes up the lower price compared to the FX30. I don't think it would work as a long duration live-streaming camera due to the thermal issues unless you are going to externally cool it,

OMG, thanks for sharing your thoughts! I do agree that the ZV-E10ii has some downsides, but as I mentioned in this video, it wasn’t designed for professional users. However, it does come with tons of professional features. As users, we just need to understand the gear and make it work based on our requirements and needs. 😉

@@PlaybyPause Like every product it is designed to a specific market and consumer. as long as you know who that is and how well you fit into that set of criteria your fine. In my case I want a camera that is a better video camera. It doesn't mean I am going to stop using my SL1. I also still have my iPhone 13Pro as well. This just gives me some options to add to my range and experience. I mostly do street photography and automotive photography. So I just need to figure our how video factors into that and then I can decide if the ZV-E10 II will offer value compared to my current setup. Since I am looking at keeping it for a decade or more that is a bit more nuanced analysis.

@karlcompuesto318 Oh I'd probably start with an a6400 with a Sigma 30mm prime lens just to get started or the 18-105 f4 if you have some more money to spare. I used it alongside my Canon RP full-frame and id prefer s6400 most of the time. But nothing wrong with starting with a6700 either if your budget supports it. As far as I know, the zve10ii is a repackaged a6700 with fewer features.

@@prayashshrestha I was looking at the Canon R10 and expecting Canon to have released a Mk II for that camera but I have heard nothing about an update in a few months now so I am looking at the Sony as an upgrade to my Canon SL1. The Sl1 is still a great camera, just not great for video (It is 12 years old and was never intended to be a primarily video-oriented camera). I also can not justify the few extra hundred to move up to the R8 for casual photography. Full frame would be nice but the new iPhone 16 should cover most of that off pretty well.
