This game has some good lore, the way it was presented just wasn’t the best. I hope in the future you can do a video about the storyline throughout the game playthrough.

I feel like the lore have potential of being good- but the way it was presenting was pretty confusing. At the beginning of the game they mention a lot of important details that don’t seem to add up until later in the game. But new players won’t be able to quickly grasp it.

So let me get this straight. 1) Humanity already left Earth long ago and colonized planet Aida, and so far we are in the continent Aesperia. You're right, there's so much loopholes. Whatever happened to Earth? Are all humans in Aida now and no one was left on Earth? I could've sworn Aida is just Earth under a different name, but paying more attention tells us it's a different planet. 2) So humans can rely on nothing but Omnium now, while also being affected negatively by it. In order to survive they all need Suppressors or they turn into Aberrants, they could also exhaust the Suppressors' capacity until it breaks, causing the infection that cause transformation into Aberrants, and that happened to Shirli and many others as in early story. 3) We also need more hint as to why MC could separate themselves from the time alterations (forgot the official term used) unlike the others. All the time related projects involve Hykros researches that has stopped aging, like the Doctor on the island, but MC's time is still running. All I know is that MC is originally working for Hykros, lost their memory, and is now MC-typically instructed to just aid with helping both Hykros and the rest of humanity without given many answers. I agree that's overused in plots. 4) What of Simulacrum? What makes some humans capable of being chosen for great powers that can be transformed into weapons, which we borrow to aid our journey, and what separates them from the rest of Aidans? I think I'd want explanation about this too, because I might miss many pointers and mistake the rest, it doesn't help that the story is explained in bits and pieces that doesn't make a clear enough picture when combined - I'm also easily confused. I have a lot more questions as I'm a sucker for lore and the theme of human advancement into space, time and its effects, so I'll definitely stick around. No one explained the story as clear as you do so far, and I need answers or it just bugs me. Outside of its bugs and crashes, I'm definitely giving this game more chance and a little more time, but I hope it doesn't continue at the same pace.

I feel like Omniun are another life form creation to playing with time as much as them like unfortunately Omnuiub causing ton of problems on their planet like what happen on Aida. So them decided to discard the project and throw it our into space like a comat so it never again cause any problems that it's until human discover it and using it as what those alien doing. That what my theory about it since there no way something like that are naturally appear unless begin make by someone.

Wiki lore writer here: 1. Yes, Aida is a different planet from earth. We played our MC on Aesperia but there's a lot more places on planet aida aside from that. 2. Too much omnium radiation can be fatal to humans. Thats why we have power cells and other things to contain omnium. 3. Phantasia is a genetic augmentation for Hykro's Executor. Our MC is a Hykros executor. Hykros is one of the biggest corporation that works with omnium before the cataclysm, thats why the people blame them for it. 4. Simulacrum tech are "Hard light" thing like on the cyberpunk 2077 (and any other sci fi lores) - tangable light. Simulacrum isnt exclusive to weapons and characters we can mimic... it used throughout planet aida. The simulacrum tech that we use to mimic the appearance is just like that - hard light... but the tech our MC use specifically has personality algorithm on their hardwares. Yes, the game is full of plot holes cause they add another supposed-to-be finished game to tof...

The only thing that confuses me the most is the simulacrum system. Yes, I know that is basically a database of people, including their skills , personality, and weapons, that Hykros members can use to basically become a copy of the selected character. But what bugs me is the gift and interaction system. Where do all those gifts go? And with who do we talk via the mail and chat? The actual person? Or the A.I persona? I only bonded with Nemesis, and from all of the conversation that I had with her, I honestly can't believe that it's an A.I. Like, she keep talking about how she still can't grasp her new body control, how she wants to see her big bro again, and the most "human" part, she asked a help from me just because a bug scared her. An A.I, scared of bug? How come an A.I meet a bug when it is basically dormant in the system whenever it's not used? But then saw a pic of Frigg chat log that's basically asking "Am I a simulacra?". Now this sounds like an A.I that just realized that it is just an A.I, not the real one. And so... I'm confused.

I am confused by this same subject! I've tried to look up things online but there is no place that clearly and fully explains what they are and how it works. Much the same way you bonded with Nemesis; I bonded with Meryl which is what made me begin to ask these same questions. They send us emails and gifts...where would an AI isolated to a small device get these items from? And as you mentioned who do we send our gifts to? In Meryl's case you flirt with her give her, flowers, ice cream, talk about going to the beach together, etc, and it really makes no sense how this works unless the real version is involved in some way. Somewhere I've read that the Simulacra are copies of people that used to exists but we know that's not true because we've seen Nemesis, King, Frigg, and Crow all face to face in person. Meryl is supposedly in Vera according to her story and Im not sure about the others. I really hope Arlun Grim does a video explaining this or clearing it up; it's all really confusing.

So are the Simulacra charaters actual people that had their fighting style copied or some AI inside the weapon?

Basiclly the characters you see in the simulacra are real people who skills have been copied into a very advanced A.I they are deemed the best of the best and we as players we learn these fighting skills and techniques for us to use on top of our own (since our MC knew how to fight already prior to the main story) so really what could've taken months to years to teach someone how to fight, they can easily "barrow" and copy one of these fighters set moves and skills.

hey i've been wondering for quite a while ever since the character selection what happened to the other sibling or partner or friend even that was with the main character during the mission where they were being chased by dogs,bcs ever since the character was selected there was absolutely no mention of the other person so if you could tell me? that would be great XD or if even u don't know then its alright lol, tho plz reply if you read this comment the curiosity has been killing me

This is a pretty old video based on the lore at the time, all of the sources come from in-game dialogues and information from their website. I haven't kept track with ToF for a while but about 80% of this video is still canon from what I was able to follow but a lot of it has either been changed or further explored after all the recent patches.

The radiation part it help to think of if the newww radiation was undetected for years its becuse it wasnt normal radiation they wouldnt of had any tech to test the radiation with so it went along with its buissness hidden away and maybe due to this hykros changed there name to hykros

Omnion explains why characters can "summon" things and how they can create their own weapons ? King can summon bats...so with the power of onmion he can creat life from 0 and controling time he can just vanish them... It's fun for me to thing like this...omnion explains their magical things. Or am I wrong and humans have power ?

The gameplay of this game is really good but as the video has said, the story of the game is kinda not very interesting. Even after watching this video, I still not quite understand the lore of this game!! Maybe I'm just a dumb ass or maybe the lore is truely boring, but please keep making the video like this to help the people like me understand more of the game. I don't really want to just keep playing with out understanding any of the story!! lol

I have painstakingly used a lot of my time trying to read their storyline in game and boy oh boy Skip button starting to get juicy as It's kinda confusing now So many new things getting introduced that kinda be in a new arc than the story we have now

The problem with MMOs it's that their lore are so good, but narrative and storytelling are just bad. ToF has an immersive world n a very obsessive gameplay, but you as player don't give a fxxck about story or lore. But now that I ended the first part, i can tell that this was just a prologue of the game. Thank you for explaining it.
