I think Miquella is generally misunderstood and quite the tragic character. Everything he's done (barring the method) was out of pure, genuine love; especially for his family and especially his twin. That love was the reason for his desire to ascend to godhood. However in a cruel twist, to become a god, he had to discard everything about himself, including his love, and just completely detach himself from the physical world. As a god, he has no regrets nor qualms about what he's doing and what he's done because he no longer has any "worldly" emotions

I'm waiting for Luna Obscura. The dev for it opened one of the best CUSTOM ragnarok experiences ever -- Return to Morroc. 800 players online in an INTERNATIONAL server on a low-midrate is basically unheard of for many years. Check it out if you want to experience an actual refreshing ragnarok experience, it's coming out 2025.

Every single enemy fight felt worth it, there was little guidelines so you just played however you wanted, and the charming visuals. This was peak for me as a lad.

It was. Sad the publisher and devs were terrible after a while> Without talking about the click to move and F key skill activations, the system of the game was pretty fun. There's elemental affinity which we don't see in many MMORPGS now a days, there's piercing vs defense stat, over all the system allowed for a more dynamic scenario. Unlike today many MMOs just have the same 3 builds without thinking about it. Ragnarok's PVP made you think what elements the enemy might be wearing, should you use piercing, etc. Skill interactions too.

This game is one of the best back then. In the Philippines, Level Up games is the publisher of this game and it was actually very popular and successful until that time that the management was changed. They made it a Pay to Win game through their Convert and Receive promos. You just need to load a certain amount of in game currency and you get an MVP card! This basically ruined everything from the Market Economy to the Player base interest and eventually the servers shut down March 31, 2015 and players was migrated to North American RO (iRO) handled by Warp Portal. iRO is very active, they have 4th jobs there now.

Man i remember playing a 16 level mage with a completely screwed build and i found like 3 people who also didn't have a clue what they've been doing. We banded together and went to hunt some poporings. It took us ages to kill one (while losing 1 or 2 of ours lol) but it felt like we were true monster hunters braving the wilds.

I remember the time were I made a plot and bribed two guilds to help my guild defend the main prontera´s castle that my guild owned. Basically no other guilds dared to even enter that castle because they knew they would be instantly wiped out by 2 large guilds defending the main entrance and another guild at the emperium room (with assassins and other solo classes roaming and cleaning anyone who could sneak). The real plan was to deter all other clans to even consider fighting that castle and make a sneak attack to the 2nd most important castle in prontera. And we did it. Our real plan was to leave undefended our castle and take another one in the last 2 minutes. Basically all we had to do was sneak with the other two guild leaders and at the last minute of the WoE and use the Guild Skill "Emergency Call" next to the Emperiium room. Nobody expected that we would leave our castle without any defences and at the same time have over 100 players rushing into the emperium room. Most of our players died, but with 4 players we managed to reach the emperium and I got the last hit to the Emperium with my priest xD After the WoE ended, prontera´s main flags were changed with my guild's emblem and I got flooded with messages asking me how we could hold two castles at the same time 😅. As promised I paid the other two guilds with several old card albums, but it was worth since we monopolized castle's dungeons that gave us access to unique items and cards and no other clan had access to those items. Since our clan had flags all over prontera I was asked for guild invited all the time, my friend list got full in a day and we ended up making a 2nd clan for all prospective candidates. Basically we had a rule that those who missed two WoE's on a row would be expelled from the clan and we offered all sorts of benefits (alchemist potions, crafting/refining materials, leveling, items and cards, etc) based on how many WoE's members participated. The system worked so well and we always had over 80% of clan members on during WoE. Sadly admins didnt liked this "benefits" system we used and they began interfering during WoEs spawning bosses to mess up our defences or even killing us randomly "to make things fair for everyone". We were ~100 vs over 1000 players and still they considered our strategy unfair.

I miss the way things worked in the past too much, the game was so much more enjoyable when I had to pay the last bit of my hard earned zenni to acolytes for a heal after respawning and paying a mage or aco for a teleport to whatever dungeon i wanted to go to. I wish they'd remove a lot of the npc convenience and make a lot of things require other players.

The sad truth about RO is that it fell behind. It... It just did. Gameplay mechanics grew dated, party work wasn't worth the trouble, leveling became streamlined... It just became sad. You just grinded your way and then repeated motions a billion times until they grew meaningles... And that's it. Most MMORPGs would encourage player interaction, Bosses would have attacks that required proper positioning and teamwork... And RO just gave up.

While this game holds a special place in my heart, it also gave me bad memories as it almost ruined my life. Because of this game, I discovered that I have addictive tendencies and decided to avoid all mmorpgs. Good thing I found out sooner and didn’t resolve to gambling.

back then we only had dial up at home so I used to go to a cafe to play. They also used a top-up system and I remember paying 1usd or so for one hour of gameplay. And it wasn't like, one hour of game time it was irl time so if you were stuck updating or if the servers were in maintenance your top up was wasted.

I used to play ragnarok like it was religion on the 2000s, I met my irl friends playing it and we are still close friends today, sometimes we play a pserver some months just to have fun together for the sake of nostalgia, we like to talk about our WoE days while drinking some beers and making BBQ, we are all grown ups some of us are dads already but we keep in touch with almost all our guild members even almost 20 years later (our guild was created in 2006), ragnarok was just different.

It's confusing trying to understand the History Fictionologists. So, all HF are emanators of the enigmata? And in what ways do they manipulate the history? Do they have the power to manipulate memories of people and/or create objects that can mess up with history and so on? And then a question arise to me regarding the identity of Gallagher. In his story part IV, there's the line: "Gallagher is my most genuine lie. Sometimes, I can't even distinguish between him and myself." - Note: Gallagher This make me wonder. Gallagher is a fiction created by a fictionologist, but I wonder by "create", was it like created like an item? But with the phrase "can't distinguish between him and myself", would that suggest that he and Gallagher are one being, or perhaps like "Gallagher" is a believable acting of the Fictionologist? And with the Note: Gallagher, does that mean the Fictionologist take the name "Gallagher" now? Then is the Gallagher that we see the Fictionologist, except with the story about him is not true? If that's the case, then is the current apparance the Fictionologist actual appearance or a fake appearance? And then, could there one day be a 5* version of Gallagher as "Gallagher, the Fictionologist"?

0:00 paused the video here. Yes. Thanks for watching. Don't forget to like and share this Ragnarok Propaganda Video everywhere in the world! Jokes aside, I play on the Korean Server and it's great. It's a bummer the West, specifially the European Servers are run by money hungry idiots that dont know how to fix issues, keep a server running for more than a year or how to update to the newest Episode. The game reached Episode 21 and starting next year we will get Chapters as the Episode Arc ends with EP21 and the defeat of Lasgand. Meanwhile in the west they run like Episode 17 or 18. Like... hello? Why? Even Lost Ark managed to catch up to about at worst 6 months behind the Korean official server content. It's pathetic.
