It's a kind of weird nostalgia maybe, but certainly not delicacy. @@Ellexium_ Salted dry Katydids are my favorite. They taste sort of like stone wheat crackers but more toasty. Insects in general all tend to have a similar taste for some reason but with different intensities and textures. Salted katydids are almost bland which makes them a pretty good jumping off point for simply getting over the texture taboo. Texture wise I'd describe them as like paper thin pringle chips with a tad bit of toughness. Crickets have the worst texture and pungent flavor in my opinion. Ants are slightly bitter but because they're so small the have the texture of a blackberry.
