The World's Most Famous Beach | Walking Daytona Beach in March 2023

Daytona Beach, or just Daytona, is nicknamed as The World's Most Famous Beach. It is home to the headquarters of NASCAR and is known for its hard-packed sand. The sand allows motor vehicles to access the beach. The old Daytona Beach and Road Course hosted races for over 50 years. I visited in early March during the start of Bike Week, and the coastal city was very lively.

Nice memories study there live in houses all over from 1977 to 1982; came back to live permanently in OB from 1984 to 1993, came back last to visit in 2009 my oldest son was born in DB memories forever, nice video thanks for the memories

​@ActionKid It was only about 4 months ago that the beach was basically gone. In Daytona Beach Shores, the ocean was washing against the seawalls. Alot of property was taken by the ocean. It's was so great to see the water eventually began to recede. This is my 2cd home & I love this place( especially Daytona Beach Shores down to East Ponce Inlet. Cheers.

Hey Ken. Hope you enjoyed Daytona Beach. It’s not the same as many years past. MTV was Spring Break headquarters here in the 80s. They put a stop to that. The beach was torn up last year by 2 hurricanes. It’s a nice community that relies on race fans and bikers for a lot of revenue. Thanks.

Happy Saturday AK getting ready to watch your live video from earlier today just finished Daytona not the Daytona I remember it's not that far from me in Orlando but haven't been there and at least 8 years a lot of the damage you saw the collapsed sidewalk in front of the boardwalk and the stairs missing was from the last hurricane Nicole if you had gone south toward Ponce inlet and the lighthouse a lot of the high rises they forced people to leave the buildings for fear of them collapsing The the houses down there right on the beach half of them aren't there anymore so much erosion they just fell into the ocean so much damage. These people work their entire life to have a nice home right on the ocean and mother nature wipes it out in a blink of an eye I know what I was watching news coverage they had a lot of reports from the Ponce inlet area you should research it you were in New York at the time so sad about Daytona

You had said there used to be a sign going into the beach saing welcome to Daytona Beach etc. And that maybe they took it down for repairs. Ummmm, I have a feeling the hurricane took it down. Right? Nice walk through of Daytona Beach! Haven't been over there in about 19 years. Check out the helicopters tour rides there along the beach. if you give the pilot a decent tip, he will he will tilt the chopper sideways so you can get some great photos or video of the beach! Check it out.

If you REALLY want to see the most beautiful beaches in the world, and I do mean in the world, you have to go to the Gulf coast of Florida from Pensacola Beach to Destin, SanDestin, Panama City Beach, St. Petersburg, Florida. Winter time is the best time when the sand is as fine as sugar and as white as sugar. To walk on that sand is like no other in the world. I have been to beach all over the world on every inhabited continent. Trust me! The Gulf coast of Florida is the best beach in the world.

Joe's Crab Shack is the worst chain. I went to the one by Queens Center Mall. I ordered crab cakes and they came back rancid. I tried telling the manager they were rancid and she didn't want to hear it, so I made up a lie to have her credit me for the meal by saying it was "too salty." Really turned me off from that chain.

I love the beach. It's so beautiful but it seems to me that driving cars on the beach detracts from the serenity. It's nice for the drivers but not so great for those wishing to relax. Bathers must feel as if they are on display!

Actually the Ocean center does double duty as a convention center and concert hall. NXT does events in there and so does AEW, TNA, and every wrestling company but artists do do concerts inside. Honestly it’s kinda small and really doesn’t hold that many people. Orlando’s Orange County convention center is much bigger and a more controlled space that does both Megacon and IAPPA every year so crowds aren’t a problem.
