Fun fact: in Finland you are allowed to pick berries on someones land, just not close enough to see the owners house. This is part of the ''freedom to roam'' law in Finland.

Same thing in China. Government mandated "open license", like GPL, "you think you OWN this IP and how to manage it? Think again!" If you want to own property that's fit for, say, consumption by children, no hobos in your woods and no three pages of cartoon pomography when you search for My Little Pony? Well, then you're just denying free advertisement by word of mouth, of course. Try having that with 12 million mexicans picking avocados, even if they come to YOUR DOOR and sell them back to you. Then your ''freedom to roam'' becomes YOUR liability to pay for WHATEVER RED TAPE IT TAKES so you don't go to jail for breaking labor laws. Not even starting with liveable wage.

In Europe it's hard to evaluate the most expensive building because a lot of great architecture was built a long time ago and you can't really say how much it would be worth today. Versailles for instance cost about 75 millions livres back then. 75 millions doesn't sound that much but the whole yearly GDP of France was about that high in that time period. Imagine if today a country spent its whole GDP on a single building.

Did you know that Cranberries despite their low territorial presence are called the ONE American Berry in Europe? I absolutely have no clue what a Snowberry is(even after googeling it) and a Wolfberry is called "Goji-Berry" here.

Most of the Indian students in countries like Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Philippines, Russia and China study medicine. It is easier to study medicine in those countries than in India.

Isn’t it because India’s entrance exams are ridiculously tough especially for medicine?

Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan had a border conflict last year. And Kyrgyzstan and its new president after the 2020 revolution started to crack down on media and opposition. Kazakhstan had violent protests last January (Bloody January as it's called now) which were suppressed with some military help from Putin, which was quickly winded back though. After that the president started to come after supporters of the former president Nazarbayev (who ruled for about 30 years) and revoked his titles and privileges as well. All of this, however, with some political liberalization in general. So, stuff has been happening.

As someone who grew up in the suburbs of Vancouver Canada, the high amount of Indian students doesn’t surprise me one bit. Both my mother and grandmother taught them (K-7th grade age) and they were nice kids who have a true appreciation for their education

Water is its densest at 4C so this water sinks whilst cooler/warmer weather rises to the top. This is why ponds don't freeze sold.
