@@justina9914 You'll get there. Don't get discouraged by all the Internet tough guys claiming anything under 350lbs is weak. Truth is, even at my gym where serious martial artists and amateur powerlifters train, I don't regularly see people deadlift a whole lot past 250lbs. My advice? Eat pasta. Loads of loads of pasta.

I know this is a strict curl video. But glad to see armwrestlers getting a little acknowledgement. It’s not a sport that showcases the power well. But one that is extremely humbling if you decide to get on the table with these guys. This really goes to show that Armwrestling isn’t all technique like folks tend to think. They bring some serious horsepower to the table.

Pretty much yes. Whenever an armwrestling video gets trending armchair experts jump the gun and start saying shit like "oh it's all in the technique, he's toprolling, he's using bodyweight" etc. When in reality, armwrestlers are actually, genuinely strong as shit. Their forearms, biceps and triceps are all conditioned to output as much power as possible. It is not all technique. You can be most technical person in the world and still get your ass kicked against a strong armwrestler. Case in point, Devon Larratt vs Denis Cyplenkov.

This record still has not been beaten, and will probably never be beaten... Everyone has moved on to closed-grip. No one really does wide-grip anymore, and wide grip is a lot harder and more dangerous.

This has been around a long time, it’s interesting those just finding out about it now. Arm wrestling has been around for decades and Denis can crush walnuts with just his two fingers 😎💪🏻💪🏻 Denis has been dominating for years. He’s unbelievable, a real life hulk. It’s really sad about his medical situation and surgery that happened recently before the rest of the world got to see his legendary feats and physique. He lost a lot of his size and strength. Honestly, its really a good point. Im currently at 180 lb strict curls and i was doing 10 reps(sometimes a few less depending on how i felt that day).. dont know what my max curl would be but one day when the gyms open again ill try to figure it out...I would normally do it 3 days a week but after a while(6 months or so) my wrists and shoulders where in alot of pain constantly. Im 44 now so i guess im starting to fall apart.. Now im just training lighter but high reps. That heavy ass weight does damage. My fingers, wrists pretty much everything.(my pec once) Maybe i need to add glucosamine to my excessive pile of vitamin substances i injest every day.

Cyplenkov explains that through incorrect, high intensity training, he ruptured blood vessels that lead to his kidneys, leading to hemorrhaging and stents being surgically put in, to keep the blood flowing properly into his kidneys. He is not medically cleared to resume serious training and has lost a lot of muscle mass from his medical issues and treatments. Cyplenkov claims this also led to Neuritis, which paralyzed half his face.

It wasn't face paralysis and it wasn't related to his kidney problem. Dennis explained he was out in cold for little too long and froze some sort of nerve endings in his face. Nothing too serious, he already recovered from that.

@@ajm7611 I would go with Prime Lupkes as far as raw power goes TBH. I mean Lupkes was stronger than Prime Cyplenkov and Cyplenkov had to slip. And Rich was old then.

That extra wrist training for arm wrestling could be the reason that he was able to strict curl more than most body builders. Arm wrestling helps 💪

A lot of people don't realize that the strict curl is actually pretty technical. It's harder than it looks. Edit: Leg drive helps. 👍😉
