I get the concept here. But does it really work? Or are you making them more angry. I agree with keeping them disaplinend, but some of this is way over the top. Forcing someone to pray is wrong on so many levels. Plus a time limit on eating. If there is a time limit to eat be reasonable and give the 30 minutes.

Karlshuler you are right about forcing someone to pray is wrong but a time limit on eating is acceptable in Army basic training and USMC boot camp the recruits are rushed through each meal especially at the beginning and as time passes they get more time to eat and if the Drill Instructors are not hard on them then its a waste of time and resources

I went to this program & honestly it does & doesn't. You can lead a horse to water but can't force it to drink the water. Some cadets release & violate or catch new charges, some don't.

What you need to understand is that this is such an incredible opportunity. A lot of these kids have crimes that are PBL, or punishable by life. Instead they get sent to a structured program, that’s local to their family and given every opportunity to succeed while they’re here and when they leave. Kids make mistakes, it’s important to have empathy sometimes. I don’t think all kids that commit crimes should be sent to boot camp, but so long as the victim is okay with it and the crime is not to heinous I think this is excellent. I live in Miami dade county, I have been to jail here many times and I know people who went to boot camp. It’s a good program.

I went to a disciplinary bootcamps for 12 months. I remember having 8 minutes to eat and being hungry as fuggg. i used throw ppb in everything breakfast lunch and dinner. i didnt care what it was i loaded each meal with peanut butter lol.

Shiii I went to regular Basic training with soldiers who aren’t guilty who just wanted to serve their country and we got treated just the same. They shouldn’t be complaining about being pushed beyond the limit because that’s what bootcamp does.

The saddest part is, some participants of these bootcamps want to join the actually military afterwards, but many of the more violent convictions disqualify them.

@@brianwilliams766 well yea, the military needs to have soldiers free of crime. Especially now since police and correctional officers are at a all time low that they will eventually pull the military to take over if it keeps going downhill. Imagine a convicted felon being a police officer.

This is exactly what every prison in Japan is like and thus why Japanese crime rate is low and repeat offenders are almost non-existent. My dad was a Japanese prison military officer and military training is mandatory for all prisoners. Their schedule goes like this: 6am wake up, 6:10-8am prison cleaning, 8:30-11:30am, intense military training, 11:30-1pm, lunch break and nap, 1-4pm intense military training 2, 5-5:30pm, dinner, 5:30-8pm, more military training. 8-8:30pm, bedtime prep. The rules are if not more strict than in this video, offences includes, addition prison time, corporal punishment e.g, caning, physical punishment e.g standing against a fall for a long period of time, pushups, running, time off break.

The Japanese prison system is effective. Their court system, however, is fundamentally flawed. Which tends to drag down the perception of the prison system by association.

Some of the best I've known were Marines who were in in gangs and criminals. The Corps gave them a purpose and changed their life but turning them into productive men. Especially later in life.

They still get to speak their peace and opinion at sentencing. This is still a prison sentence, but if victims argue for standard sentences instead, they are more than likely agreed with.

@@ambiguousbabytaker lol Parris island is tougher? I was in the Army. One thing for sure is the military DIs are in better shape than prison DIs from what I can tell in this video but 16 months of any boot camp has got to be tough
