Behind Bars - Episode 6: Miami, Dade County Jail, Florida, USA | Prison Documentary
Watch the uncensored edition of this episode here (viewer discretion advised): rumble.com/v3m...
Behind Bars - Episode - Urso Branco, Brazil: • Behind Bars: Urso Bran...
The two toughest divisions of the Miami Dade prison complex couldn't be more different. The Miami Dade Boot Camp gives minor offenders a chance to escape the prison through rigorous and unforgiving drills and rules. To many it is a better alternative to rusty iron bars of The Miami-Dade County Jail where murderers, rapists and robbers have their own rules of survival.
The series accompanies guards on their daily routines: those who struggle to maintain law and order and those who abuse their powers mercilessly. But above all, each episode allows the viewer to see the world from the prisoner’s point of view: the newcomer spending his first terrifying night locked up. Felons who live for the day when their fate will be decided: will it be life behind bars? A worse fate? Foreigners, far away from home, languishing away under the most horrendous conditions. And mothers who have to raise their children in the shadow of prison bars.

I got sentenced to 2.5 years in juvie prison when I was just shy of 16. I was offered the opportunity to do a 4 month bootcamp program to knock off 6 months of my time. We started with 75 cadets and 15 of graduated, I happened to get stuck going during the end of fall in northern Wisconsin. After 2 months we were hiking for a week at a time in the dead of winter, our drill sergeant were former seals, rangers, and Marines. When we graduated we were told that we could get thru any of the special forces bootcamps. I actually tried to enlist when I got out, but I wasn't allowed due to gang tattoos and not having a driver's liscence. The whole experience did make me into a man and I learned a lot of survival skills. 19 years later and I now own my own business and haven't been in serious trouble since...

Have faith in JESUS CHRIST as LORD and SAVIOR for HE SAVES from hell❗️ *What is the Gospel?* The true gospel is the good news that God saves sinners. Man is by nature sinful and separated from God with no hope of remedying that situation. But God, by His power, provided the means of man’s redemption in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Savior, Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of GOD, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Romans 10:9 9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. JESUS CHRIST can come anytime! Just Believe ❤️ Love you and GOD BLESS

My son is 2 months old. I hope that that boy got out of boot camp and turned it around so he could be present as a father. I was locked up previous to this but I was lucky enough to get out before he was born. Being a father is one of the greatest joys you can have as a man, I hope that everyone who deserves it gets to experience it. Edit: I think the old dude (Taurence?) probably had a lot of good knowledge to speak to people. Despite being locked up since he was 16, I feel like he’d be quite the interesting person to talk to.

When I was 15 years old I committed some horrific crimes (shootings, aggravated assaults, etc.). When I was caught the judge gave me an opportunity to either go through Boot Camp or straight to prison as an adult, I chose Boot Camp. After leaving Boot Camp I went back to school and received my high school diploma, a scholarship to college and now I own a successful electrical engineering firm. Since that time, I’ve never been in trouble however I do give back to the community and I never forgot the 18 months I spent in Boot Camp. I’m now in my mid 50’s and have never seen the inside of a prison. I hope many of those young boys get out and become productive members of society. I’m an example and product of what can be developed if given a second chance.

@evan1238
@evan1238 4 жыл бұрын
I agree. Prisoners have an understandably bad stigma, but the truth about our system of justice is that while more people in jail/prison are (hopefully) guilty than not guilty, a substantial percentage of them are likely innocent. 97% of all convictions are as a result of a plea deal. Due to mandatory minimum sentences, going to trial is often wayyy too risky to even consider. Even if you were absolutely positively falsely accused of a crime, and if found guilty of that crime, the mandatory minimum is 25 years, and the district attorney, knowing there is very little evidence in his/her favor, offers you a plea of 6 months, would you go to trial? I know personally I wouldn't leave 25 years of freedom up to 12 strangers too stupid to get out of jury duty... It's too unpredictable. Take the deal, do your time, and hopefully get your life back together when it's done. Happens every day.

I love watching prison and jail documentaries. One reason is because I don’t like watching scripted tv and also because it’s a major reminder not to go back to that lifestyle. Whenever I feel down I always remind myself how much worse life gets and gives me motivation to stay on the straight and narrow. I’ve come too far to fuck it all up especially when behind bars is a living mental and physical hell.

Lmao. Lots of people who end up in jail got whoopings as kids. You can't dispute the fact that beatings are detrimental to a child's mental health. And when a parent hits their child, the child is likely to grow up thinking that's the way to solve problems and express themselves. If you need to resort to violence in order to raise a child, you're obviously not fit to be a parent.
