Because of BOTH of these video's, I am going to go check out EcoFlow! I know they are going to have something (probably more than one thing) that I want/will need! Purchased: August 2022 - still works GREAT! kzbin.infoUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn I live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install.This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment.I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!

I really like the heating function of this unit. That is really useful for a small cabin or RV, or even as a backup for a single room in your home during a power outage. Often in the south after hurricanes it is sweltering without AC and no power. We had no heat after an ice storm took out our power last year winter. Having at least even one room as a refuge from either extreme can make a big difference.

We have used the kzbin.infoUgkxOTeIs0vv4_9B5hsmnLsk9r930uDQLu_Y for probably 30 hours with our camper and it’s been great! The noise level is really only noticeable when running the AC and other appliances like the microwave, hair dryer, or coffee pot. It’s not huge like other ones and it has wheels so even at 90lbs, I can move it!

I love your "Casey does product testing" videos. This one is especially interesting as i am trying to come up with an alternate method of heating my glass studio during the winter and cooling in the summer so i can work in there. This is really good as it also has both functions i need. I live on the West Slope of Colorado and there is a sweet spot from early April through October where the temps are comfortable enough for me to be in the studio, a device like this could extent that sweet spot to the entire year. I think this video will eventually cost me a lot of $ but at the same time solve an issue i deal with every single year. Peace Out.

Yep trucker here I’m SOLD the “eco system 🌍”😂😂😂 they are building you have me convinced! When our truck breaks down we usually rent a cargo van we have a very large Rottweiler that hotels tend to turn there nose up at when finding somewhere to stay. So now we will be comfortable in a uhaul or enterprise van when this happens THANK YOU keeping it cool before was a challenge. We were supposed to be getting a portable fridge so I guess since this all works together we will just get all of their products thanks to you!

Casey you are one of the best people to test these units you don't sugar coat it you tell it like it is ! I would love this heater system because my wife always tends to go camping early in the year and late in the year like September 22nd and 23rd We will be in Ridgeway Colorado for the true grit fun run With Ethan Wayne This is not a clickbait! We already have our reservations in Ridgway State Park to go tent camping and seeing you test this with your daughter is exactly what I was looking for something that could run a medical device and keep you warm without huge sound and a lot of say generator running late at night. In a state park generators are forbidden. But if you're running a CPAP or something of that nature you can run a generator but everybody else around you gets very mad. Me growing up in the Northwest on the Oregon trail and the wildlife birds of prey along the Snake River We would have loved to have had something like this on half of our camping trips in boy scouts !!! I wish it was some way to test this out myself and be able to justify $2,000 expenditure Is there anyway that somebody could do some product testing and give feedback and maybe work towards owning one of these EcoFlow wave 2 Would love a battery setup? Or even as you said the Delta 2 battery pack for that unit and maybe even a solar panel that would be the best? ? Do you get to keep these units or do you have to send them back? I would love to know if there's any way to make this happen? I live outside of Denver in a real community and sometimes we lose power for a couple days and this would be awesome to have A heat source that will not asphyxiate you while you're sleeping. Thank you for your time and I would love to hear back from you? Eric h.

For best results you should use both exterior ducts. If you don't use the exterior intake duct, you're still pulling in outside air (through various cracks, vents, etc.), but you're mixing that with the air you're trying to cool or heat before forcing it back outside. Forcing air outside means you're lowering the pressure inside, and outside, higher pressure air WILL make its way inside. That means you're fighting against yourself. Not as bad as if you don't use the exterior exhaust duct, but you're still reducing efficiency and not getting the maximum temperature change you're looking for. Using the external intake duct will keep the inside and outside pressure the same and you won't be fighting drafts and mixing the inside air with the wrong temperature air.

Or just put the unit outside. Easiest setup.
@cwilliams7017

Why? You'd be pulling in hot air, as opposed to cooled air, right? I don't get it.

@C Williams wouldn't be noticeable and you have more room inside and only need one hose.
@Egleu1
@Egleu1 Жыл бұрын
@@cwilliams7017 What don't you get? The unit is exhausting air, that air needs to be replaced so it's coming in from outside. If you use the intake duct also then the outside air goes straight through the unit instead of into the tent/camper.

The thing I like about the Ecoflow products is that they're designed for portable use, and you don't have to mess around with circuit design. They're far too heavy for backpacking, and you were probably pushing it with the fridge when you took it canoeing, but they're great for car camping or similar. But you pay for it. For a stationary application like an off grid cabin I'd build a system myself with twice the capacity for half the price. That is more effort though, and not everyone is comfortable doing it.

Looks really nice, especially for hot weather camping. However for now, we are happy with our Renogy 1000 wh power station that we plug our TT into and then plug our 200 watt suitcase solar panels into. Since we camp in the low humidy west, our heavy duty Hessaire evaporative cooler works great at less than 200 watts (it cools about 20 degrees ambient in our 26 foot TT). For heat, if we are concerned with battery drain, the Heater Buddy works great

Works well enough, achieved 15 degree difference (which felt cool inside the square drop trailer-in the shade, the lowered humidity helped a lot too) in 95F and 80% humidity weather here in Florida. I was also running two small USB powered fans to circulate the cooler air. My main complaint is not being able to mechanically/manually set the unit to external drainage. Every time the unit shuts down the drainage is reset to internal, which in turn shuts down the unit when really full, which happens a heck of a LOT here in Florida. The hoses, being proprietary sizes are also a PITA to hook up to anything commonly used in small trailers. The Wave 2 was outside the small square drop due to space issues, I also wish the company made a raincoat for the unit.....

After watching this video, there are a few points about Wave2 that caught my attention: The accompanying battery cannot be charged separately; it must be connected to the air conditioner to charge. This is particularly troublesome and unreasonable. When I deplete the battery of the air conditioner outdoors and want to charge it, I have to carry the entire air conditioning unit with me. Keep in mind that this adds up to a weight of 50 pounds. Wow, 50 pounds! What does that have to do with portability? For me, portability is a crucial factor to consider, and I might choose Zero Breeze instead. Their product weighs less than 30 pounds, which is half the weight of Wave2, and can be easily lifted with one hand.

I would really like to get one of these..and I totally would, if it were priced somewhere around $400/$500 by itself. I just can't justify the price for all the more (or little) uses I currently have for it. My house has central a/c, I have two window a/c units in my attic from before I had the central a/c installed if the central a/c ever goes down, and I have a gas wall heater and a couple space heaters if the furnace ever goes down in the winter. I also have a generator. I don't ever camp unless it's in a trailer that has an a/c/furnace built in and I always have either a generator or shore power. So, I don't really have any need for this unit, but I could see it being useful sometime. Oh well, maybe santa will bring it lol.

Hey buddy. Thats what is called a 2 hose portable air conditioning unit.. which means... it always always always recirculates the air the purpose of the intake and exhaust hoses are the air that gets ran over the compressor. So the moving louvers side dont worry about but always use the other two ducts to pull from/push air out or you are significantly reducing your efficiency and cooling ability.. if u only exhaust out you are sucking cold air from your tent constantly and creating a vacuum thus pulling in more unconditional air...
