THE WORLDS FIRST S55 SWAPPED BMW 2002!

For 25 years this 1973 BMW 2002 sat outside in front of a body shop. Little did they know, our friend George Dalmakis would come along one day to bring this classic back to life and build one of the most unique restomods of our generation.
The car was completed in only 1 year just in time to have it displayed in our booth at the 2019 SEMA Show. With the help of many people and our vendors that supplied parts such as BBS, RECARO, VIBRANT, BORG WARNER, AIRLIFT, FORGE MOTORSPORT we were able to get everything George needed to complete his vision for this 800hp beast.
Ranking 13th out of thousands of entries in Battle of the Builders at SEMA was a huge accomplishment for all of us as well as being featured in various magazines around the world such as PASMAG and Performance BMW.

Als ich noch 17 Jahre alt war, hatte mein damaliger Chef einen 2002 mit dem Motor eines 3.0 l Coupes mit 260 PS. Der Wagen wurde damals gebaut von der Frma Gräser Tuning in Dudweiler. Für dieses Teil brauchte man eher einen Waffenschein als einen Führerschein, ein wirklich GEILES DING ! Zur damaligen Zeit war dieser Wagen schon ein Porsche Killer, ein absolut irres Ding, habe LEIDER kein Foto mehr von diesem Wagen, gingen alle verloren. Harald, falls du diesen Kommentar liest, ich denke oft an diese Zeit, war ne richtig geile Zeit !!!!!!!

I worked at a BMW dealer growing up when I was 16 yrs old outside Chicago, had customer with an M1 and drove his M3 with dinan chips. He got his kid a job at the dealership. He had a frame off restoration of a 2002 for his son and it was beautiful. New tan leather interior and carpets. New flat green paint and gold BBS wheels. That thing was awesome. I will always love the 2002.

I love these BMW´s. My first car I bought from my own money was a 1973 BMW 1602. It was bright red, had the round taillights ...fantastic car. My second car was a 1974 BMW 1802. It was dark blue ... let me down plenty of times .. I was disappointed .... if only I had kept my 1602.

I just checked your address! 😳 in 1989 I bought my first car in that exact same area (European guy) a 1984 5.0 black mustang 5 spd with 2 sets of metric tires ...I'd been driving since the age of 9...so that year I burnt 3 sets of tires ,while the front ones were like new 😁 No brainer now, I'll be going through your shop for my next car 😎 ...either an older 635 with a 6 or 8 or smaller 2002 or e30 with a bigger 6 cylinder. It's the wide bodies I love 😍 ..I'm flexible within these models . Keep up the awesome work man! 👏

This is a proper BMW, I don't know what BMW is doing. They should redesign or say retro their cars with new technology, and make only necessary appearance changes to meet the new tech needs. Porsche 911 is a very good example! BMW modern design is superfluous.

Now this build really st the bar on high everything is custom even the fuel cell is upholstered to match interior and I dig on the sub woofer encloser as part of the center console, this build is so incredible it's worthy of an award at the SEMA Show.

i have group 2 fiberglass fender flares. it will be a fiddling job to fit them properly. I am a metal fabricator, so could make them out of steel. but thought it would be easier to fit these.Well, experience will tell . I am working on an old Ford Fiesta mk2, with European oval racing look
