@@idjles No need for the negativity my friend! Far less oil and fuel than a large sawmill would have needed to mill if he brought the wood … and it would have probably been shipped in and transported from goodness knows where (more fuel), much more economical to keep things local… and the satisfaction level of doing things yourself is amazing too - what a skill ✌️🌿

That's some quality freehand slabbing! From the sharpening angle, it does look like you're using the "right" teeth for with-the-grain cuts vs the more diagonal cross grain. Not trying to correct you, this info would be mega useful to add to the next milling video with an explanation! I was doing long cuts with my normal setup until my neighbour showed me the light... I should've guessed as I know this from handsaws & hand woodworking saw types (rip vs cross cut). Great work as ever. How're the boards seasoning?
