What a fantastic end to the kayak comp rod! And what a epic painting of Dan's fish that prize is the best. It just proves you don't need all the fancy sounder equipment to find big fish even though it does help. Hat off to you my friend.

Not a painting! It's an old Japanese fisherman art style where they use the skin of the fish they caught and preserve it as a picture. Art style is called Gyotaku. Very cool. 👍

There is also a way of 'printing' your fish. I believe that's Japanese as well. They use black ink to paint the fish not long after it's been caught and then they lay rice paper on top of it. Its a real skill to get the complete fish print on the paper without smearing or misaligning it. Very beautiful results too.

Again that ocean proved why stealths are the best yaks, part submarine. Some good sessions for putting fish in the hatch, even though the one got bit there’s at least a couple meals left on him. I’d say you made out with the print, that’s pretty cool. Anyhow, always top shelf vids, cheers man.

This video (and the previous) are so much fun to watch! Personally, I have severe back problems that would preclude me from partaking in kayak fishing. I currently live in Los Angeles and my GF and I have plans to move to Florida. So, ...I guess I need to develop a carbon fiber exoskeleton, to make fishing possible for me. Rod, i only hit the ike button first on yur vids! because i know they are gonna be good and am excited you posted at all, Wohooo. NICE... also try to go out where the wave coming at you broke first, that is the drain , it will practically carry you out, look at the breaks on a video from overhead and you will see what i mean, surfers use this area togo out and hang on the edge of incoming and out going water, probably have to do with bait locations aswell.
