These are the worst bartenders of Bar Rescue Season 4, including one who screams at customers, another who ignores them, and one who knowingly serves drinks with flies in them.
#BarRescue #ParamountNetwork
Jon Taffer embarks on a cross-country tour of the worst drinking establishments in America. Bad drinks, wild staffs, and wasted owners conspire against him and his experts as they give failing businesses one last shot at success.

@@markymarksthirdnipple8305 I agree fully! I've worked the industry for 15+ years and while I find this show entertaining it hardly scratches the surface of the true issues that plague bars. This industry is one of the most competitive and hard to succeed in
@mharris5047
@mharris5047 Жыл бұрын
@@mudslanger6577 When I ordered food at a bar I usually stayed a hell of a lot longer than 52 extra minutes. It takes 20 minutes to cook the food and another 50-60 to eat it while casually talking with friends. After that ordering either dessert or a nightcap adds another 30-40 minutes to the stay. If I was having a great time I could stay another hour or two. All bars should have good food, even selling the food at cost having good food would bring a lot of extra profit off of the drinks (I think Taffer said once that bars can mark the food up 10% above cost without losing customers but that was pre-COVIDcritters).

being in the food industry for 17 years, what i dont like about this, is the set up for the employees to fail. mans literally had 200 ppl wait outside, then all go in at once. in no resturant/bar would they be able to successfully serve that many people at once. anyone would freak out if 200 ppl came up all at once and wanted something from you, right there right then.
@worksv3
@worksv3 2 жыл бұрын
It’s entirely likely they’re aware that 200 is too much, but the point isn’t to serve all 200, it’s to see how the employees and management do when they’re under serious pressure. It gives Jon and his experts a look at what exactly needs to be worked on

@@KeoN710 my main problem with this "stress test" its that its unfair. Even if they were good at bartending its impossible to serve that many people efficiently. Bars in my town completely rely on their reputation as opposed to a bar near a highway that relies on random people making a pit stop. So once the locals and/or the college kids hear that a bar is slow to serve drinks or treat their customers like crap, nobody goes there and the bar flops. There’s a running joke about there always being 1 liquor license for sale because some knucklehead opens a bar, runs it into the ground, then it’s for sale again once they close in a few months.

Actually she’s not that innocent, she actually stolen money from the aunt before. The aunt also runs a restaurant, which I think is very successful, and the bar was a second thing for her. Kim worked at the restaurant first but got fired for stealing money but the aunt felt bad for her so she hired her for the bar. Kim is not a good manager since she couldn’t handled the stress and would ran away or just drink all the time with her big bottle while giving excuses. Kim wasn’t very assertive and just gave up running away when people don’t listen. During the stress test she started crying and quit in like 30 mins (I think) and never came back. She didn’t even know what to do, in the later episode the aunt made Tina (the bartender) the manager since she acted more as a manager than Kim, and during the stress test took over when Kim didn’t know what to do. I think she use to have a drug problem since seem out of it. Yeah the nephew is a dick and shouldn’t make her cry but at the same time Kim wasn’t doing her job, but that still doesn’t excuse his actions. During the stress test he lost his cocky attitude and couldn’t keep up and nearly quit. But Jon yelled at him and he stayed and actually put an effort which he did get a bit better at the test. He quickly realized he needed to step up his game and lost his attitude seeing how much his aunt wanted this bar to work (she was using her money from her restaurant to keep the bar alive making her lose even more money). During training he actually worked hard and changed to a more friendly personality, and on the reopening did really well as a bar tender and I think he also acted as a bar back too. Unfortunately the bar still closed I think a year or two after the show since it was losing customers to better, more modern bars close by. It was in a competitive area with tons of bars nearby. The restaurant the aunt runs is still running and was on food network Restaurant impossible.

I've been a barman, and I've served the public, and I remained politely friendly and professional, no matter how stressed I felt. You can't show the customers that stress and pressure you may be feeling, or take it out on them - I'm not fussed about bar staff also drinking a little (you May see staff in irish pubs here in Ireland sipping at a half pint or drink they have behind the bar for themselves), but there's a huge difference between staff having an occasional sip on a drink throughout a long shift in a busy bar, or haviny a small drink on their break, versus all these clips on this show I've seen of the staff just wolfing down shots all night, and drinks whenever and as much as they wanted, and then usually acting like either a trashy snobby drunk or an aggressive prick insulting the fellow staff and customers alike. Based on most of the staff in most of these bars I've seen, I'd have sacked them within that first night - there are plenty of great bar staff always looking for work, who'll be an asset and a valued team member. But bad staff like most of these lose you money - they waste drinks, pouring profit down the drain, and worse - they actively create a bad reputation for the bar, and turn people off from going. We've all decided not to go to a bar or pub purely because we don't like the staff who work there, as the main reason to go somewhere else. Shocking.

Bars need to have the pour spouts that have either the one-way pour or with covers. Fruit flies WILL get in your liquor, specifically the sweet ones. Health inspectors have those little mag lights and will do that exact thing he's doing to check if there are fruit flies in there.

@The Lexdysic cartographer None that has had that problem THAT YOU KNOW OF. Trust me... it 'can' be an issue in every bar, some actually care and do what they can to avoid it. If the bar you're at just has regular pour spouts (you can tell if they have a little flip type cover on it, or it has the one-way flow, chances are they're in there. Most restaurants are fine, and some that might not seem fancy can actually have great food. A good sign is if the restaurant is clean, check the silverwear and the glasses to make sure they aren't dingy. If the place is clean it's usually a good sign that the kitchen is also clean. The point is to get a handle on the pandemic so we can go back to being normal human beings, not walking talking petri dishes. Sometimes I wonder if people actually enjoy the dehumanization of it all. Humans are social animals, intimacy is our nature. We just need to deal with what we need to, move on, and go back to normal. Eventually people will do it, just out of frustration. Who wants your towns streets full of abandoned buildings, annihilated finances, and broken dreams? Time to remember how to have a spine America, or die with a whimper. Imagine not living your life because the government told you to...and you obey...like a dog.
