At first when you don’t know them, Sun seems like your popular school boy being the baseball team ace. At first he seems like a great guy that attracts others, but in reality, he doesn’t have many positive qualities aside from his determination. Our MC moon, is a complete opposite. While he seems like your average student at first and his hidden personality isn’t pure by all accounts, he values the people he knows above himself even when he doesn’t really want to help.

Well the pacing in the manga has been handled better, that’s why is more expanded in there because most likely you notice we skipped several chapters of the bullying, making Joro redemption much more satisfying. Also the LN slowly but constantly has been giving us a couple of hints of WHY so much love. Hopefully they bring this extra chapters to life as well. Joro and Pansy interactions are by far the best in the series

In the anime they really cut out an important part of what Pansy said to Joro.. In the anime it made it seem that it's some generic genuine love where she just likes the guy for being nice and not caring about other people.. What she should've said and she did say in the manga is that she says that his Hyde self which is his real self (They did't include the conformation that his Hyde self is his true self), is the best because he puts other's well being before his own () he doesn't care if he looks bad towards other random people by doing it. That's why he never seemed to care about getting bullied.. That's what Pansy truly likes about him.. The history is that she fell in love with him when people were laughing at him in the baseball game but she knew he was doing it for his friend.. he never cared and to her that's amazing..

[Edited] Chibi, in the manga so far it hasn’t really turn into a harem series, but there might be a chance it will though since there’s still some female characters that haven’t shown up in the manga either. Also Chibi, there actually is a little more to the story how Pansy met Joro, its in the manga as a “.5” chapter so they might bring it up later on in anime. (This might be a Spoiler so a little heads up if you don’t want to get spoiled.) But basically the whole story is that Pansy asked Joro if he wanted to go somewhere like to get food, a drink, or just to get out of the sun and she also asked if she could have some of the food he was holding. But Joro said no and told her that he’s waiting for his best friend and all of the food is to cheer him up.

Hey Chibi Reviews. This reminds of team four stars’s final fantasy 7. Cloud = Joro Cosmo and the other girl = Tifa Oga= Barret&Sephiroth. Library girl = Aerith but with library girl’s Personality. The girls are Tifa because they Use and belittle cloud/Joro. And Oga is barrett because he keeps giving him a hard time. He’s also Sephiroth, because he lost everything to him. Library girl is Aerith because of the crush and all that. Lastly why Joro is cloud. He’s kinda prone screwing up and is often used by other to get what they want. also he snapped at the people accusing him. Final thing. they might end up together. They are adapting light novel, which has... several volumes ahead of material compared to the manga. It's not uncommon anyway for an anime to surpass their manga adaptation material, as light novel is the primary source.

@Rener Oslo Well the law keep everyone fallow the system , but you have to remember that he is our MC the auther can make something up to allow them to end up with more than one girl , beside that not every system is perfect I believe that if you search deeply in the Japanese law you will find some sorta of flaws that allow the person to marry more than one woman, and I don't understand why most western countries prohibit polygamy ... In the manga the pres and the childhood friend don't fall in love with the mc or at least they do not clearly show it More than a harem it feels like a friend group with one clear love interest for the mc Also the other girl who is introduced later does love the mc but she doesn't show it at all so it doesn't feel like a harem

In the manga they explain how sun was really special to joro....so much he was willing to betray everyone else for his sake. That and the fact that joro himself has a trash personality and that sun cleaned his name. They said in the manga something like(yeah those 3 are actually good people, just this once their flaws were more misible than the rest)

Well thats basically the point of that arc. Joro loves Sun(no homo, just bestfriend) to a point where he just said "i get what i sow" to Sun's question about how will he be doing about all the bullying he will be getting because of him. In the manga it was clarified that Joro even said after that is " so Sun-chan, don't tell this happened to anyone" and to Pansy that" You too Pansy, don't tell this to anyone" Pansy:" is that an order or a request? " Joro: "whisphers of love, maybe..." Pansy: "lol, if you put it like that...then i won't"(taking away the recorded convo between them, maybe to expose Sun if he meant to attack Joro further) Thats when that moment in the anime where Sun realized what he losed to Joro that the girl he had crush in middle school and Pansy liked about him. That's why he confessed to everyone in the school about it so that the bullying would go to him, but apparently not. Joro in direct translation is a "Watering Can", so we can imply that his main point on his character is that he's made to take care of others(specifically flowers), even if him being empty in the end. Another Fact: Pansy flowers can grow in the shade, not needing that much sunlight, unlike Cosmos and Sunflower.

Honestly, I can see this series being a mix of Shuffle and Lovely Complex. Like it may be a harem, but by the 3/4 point the MC chooses his girl and they start dating and the rest of the series shows their relationship (hopefully).

One thing they I think slipped under most people's noses is that Pansy said Sun fell in love with her after "learning her name". Also, Sun's previous loss was when a girl he liked was in love with Joro... I think it's the same girl, Pansy just moved away for a bit. Maybe that's why Sun fell in love with her so easily, freaked out when he saw them talking, and felt the need to destroy Joro, to prevent history from repeating itself. Plus it would help give Joro and Pansy some more backstory...

Manga reader here, and from what I've read, I don't think I can really say if the story gets better or worse. The reason for this is that there isn't that much of the manga available. The latest chapter I've read, hasn't even finished the second volume of the light novel. I could even go far as to say that it hasn't even gotten past the second half of the light novel. If this anime is going to adapt 1 vol. of the light novel every 3 episodes, I'm basically in the same position as everyone who hasn't read the light novel. I would also like to add that the translations of the manga aren't exactly that good. I even remember reading a chapter of the manga that's basically a horrible machine translation with hardly any editing to make it sound sensible. Lastly, I would like to point out that I have been enjoying this anime adaptation far more than the manga. The manga makes things look more grim and serious while the anime takes a lighter and more hilarious tone which I prefer.

The scene where Sun get's exposed and Joro sticks up for the other girls was a great scene because he didn't have to but he did it anyway. I think Sumireko set this up to show the other girls that deep down Joro's really not a bad guy and not just to clear his name. There's also the showing of Sun's true nature which is obvious.
