That warming mousepad reminds me of when I mentioned to my mom that my hands tend to get cold when I'm typing. For that Christmas, she got me a pair of fingerless wool gloves that had electric hand warmers in them that you needed to plug in via a USB port. The gloves were too small, the feeling of wool drives me up a wall, the lack of fingers meant my fingers would still be cold, which was the problem, they took forever to warm up but got way too hot almost immediately when they did, and the USB cord was so short I'd knock stuff over if I absent-mindedly tried moving around while wearing them (and, yes, both gloves were connected via one cable so it was like I was handcuffed to my desk.) and the packing was in just as broken English with several fire hazard warnings. I love my mom to bits and pieces and she meant well, I do appreciate it, but that was one of the few times I ever felt relieved to throw away a Christmas gift.

As a type 1 diabetic I can say with 100% certainty that even as a diabetic you can still eat chocolate normally just like anyone else. You just have to manually dose yourself with insulin (or hell if you have certain insulin pump systems automatically even) if anything things like pizza are a much bigger concern for diabetics because of the carb+cheese combo making it more difficult to figure out how to dose for your individual body because everyone is different. Might be smart to cut back on sugar and carbs for better control (for some) or just to use less insulin because that shit is hella expensive but there’s no actual reason you “can’t” eat chocolate. If anything newly diagnosed like that you’re going to want to keep those chocolates on hand for when your blood sugar inevitably tanks because lord knows glucose chews are god awful

Unfortunately, I'm an English major, so my parents got me a shirt that says "this is my writing shirt" in the most painful font. It is the ugliest shade of purple and is too big. I would never wear this out, but if I wear it as pajamas, they'll get mad.

5:21 Oh my god they sell these at my work! They also sell Lunchables and gummy pickles that are the exact same thing! They taste horribly bland and sell horribly because everyone looks at them and goes “hehe, kinda gross, kinda funny” and then moves on.

12:12 No joke, Fruit Pig is decently well known as your average bootleg weird game. There's some footage of it being played online, but the most popular video including it is from someone who turned out to be a creep if I remember correctly.

Was asked for ideas what to get me for a gift. I mentioned the Aldi cheese advent calendar but they we're sold out. So my brother at another store saw an advent calendar with cranberry cookies on it, which had pictures of dogs on the packaging, so yes they we're dog treats
