beal was never close to a top ten player. his 30 ppg were as empty as an average that high could be, and the no trade clause was absolutely baffling from the moment it was announced.

Sure he didn’t win titles, or go on deep playoff runs. But he led them to winning records and playoff appearances. Surely one of the top 50 players of His era.
