I've always HATED how in all of the makeover scenes, girls had their glasses removed. The whole "taking a girls glasses off" movie scene got imitated in real life too many times for me. If someone tells me I look better without my glasses, and I usually tell them that THEY look a lot better when I'm not wearing my glasses, too.

the thing with glasses is like. yeah it's entirely possible to have a pair of glasses that are really unflattering. but if you're doing a makeover on someone with glasses the solution isn't "get rid of the glasses entirely" it's "get a pair of glasses that looks better on them" at least this one vaguely acknowledged that they're at least giving her contacts, i guess? even though if someone doesn't want contacts they probably shouldn't be made to wear contacts especially considering how you have to put them on can be really uncomfortable for some people.
