Fellow Ohioian here. I am so sorry this happened to you, I sometimes forget that people have good relationships with their fathers, mine is a abusive jerk, your dad seemed like a good man. Same here my dad passed away in February I've actually lost 4 close family members since October. My younger sister passed away a week before her birthday in October my uncle John passed away on my twin daughters birthday in December my dad passed away in February and two weeks ago my favorite uncle passed away he's been fighting cancer for a long time. I try to look at it like God is gathering up my family members one by one and one day we'll all be together. My dad and I weren't nearly as close as my Mom and I were so when she died in 2019 it took a couple of years for me to snap out of sadness

Your story just touched and broke my heart for you! What a trauma at an early age. Talking about it becomes cathartic though. My sister passed from cancer on Feb 11, 2013 (same day as our daughters birthday) and the sadness is very real. Oh Jordan. So very sorry you had the worst Easter ever. I'm so glad your buddy invited you and made a new Easter memory for you. We lost my Gramma(I called her Mom, bcs she was more a Mom to me than my own) on my sister's birthday, the 13th of December. Christmas was a disaster that year. But that was her very favorite holiday. We played Elvis at Christmas time, and Freddy Fender :) It took me almost 2 yrs to right myself after that. It rocked me to my core. It was so hard. I was hurt so badly by that. None of us escape death, or the loss of people we love through that loss. It stinks for sure. I hope you are able to do fun things on Easter. And maybe celebrate your Dad's life at Easter time. And take a cruise or go somewhere he wanted to see but never got the chance? It would be a great way to honor his memory. I am sure he is very proud of the man and good person you have become. It's a lot to talk about. Thank you for making this video. Love you kiddo! 🧡 🙏

Easter is rough for me too. I lost my mom to breast cancer in my 20's. She was born on Easter Sunday, April 16th, so I get hit with this TWICE every year: once on Easter and once on April 16th. Then there is always the date of her death to contend with too.

Hi Jordan, I'm so sorry to hear about your painful loss right before Easter and at a very tender age😢 I lost my Mom 4 years ago to something very sudden and my world turned upside down 😭😭😭 I hated every holiday and her Birthday was the most difficult day for me. Since then the wonderful missionaries at my church encouraged me to start a new tradition on holidays in honor of my Mom. They suggested that I do something that she used to enjoy or visit somewhere she liked to visit and she would be right there with me in spirit. They said my Mother would never want to see me so sad and traumatized by holidays or any days. It was very difficult but it does help a lot. There will always be tears 😢 but now I can smile through my tears by celebrating our memories together. Give it a try and celebrate every Easter with your Mother and family and your beautiful little dog 🐶 Take a hike or go fishing 🎣 in his honor. Make the day a time to remember the wonderful memories you had together 😊❤.

It's never easy to lose a parent or a sibling. I've lost them all. My dad died on New Year's Eve and his mother (my grandmother) died on Christmas Eve (different years). My mother and oldest brother died in the summer and last year my only other relative, my other brother, died the week of my birthday. I've lost my entire family and now I'm the sole survivor. Cancer is a terrible disease- my brother fought is last year. I'm lucky to have my husband- and for that I'm grateful. Holidays are terrible for me so we don't celebrate any except my anniversary and birthdays. I just can't do it anymore. Thank you Jordan for the lovely tribute to your father. When my dad died, I knew he was sick, but I never thought he would die. I was a little older than you were, but I was the opposite. The day he died, that night I slept in his bed. Death is a difficult thing to grapple with as an adult but at least we have more life experience to aid us in working through the grief. Children don’t possess those tools and makes it so much harder to deal with. It’s an abyss without much to anchor to. You are still reliving it all so vividly. Very nice tribute to your dad and take comfort in knowing that your dad is also being remembered today by thousands of people on your YT channel. ❤. Thank you for sharing. So sorry for what you had to endure. So sad that the relatives of your dad did not consider his kids. It’s more often then not, that when one passes, the vultures come in to take all that they can get. Happy you were able to celebrate Easter with your family again. God bless you and your family.

Oh, Jordan. So sorry for your loss!! But you are blessed. As you said, "He is risen" on Easter. Just remember, the Easter message is all about how much the Father loved his Son. 'I'm sure your father loved you just the same!! Celebrate his life always!! You will be together again someday!!
