I think the peach colour could be quite flattering on people with darker skin tones, but not us pasty girlies.

The cartoon red boots are the first thing that came to mind for me 😭 just like you said, it’s so clearly a gimmick that will go viral for a couple weeks and then never be worn again 😵💫
@katierobinson Жыл бұрын
literally 💀 anyone wearing them even a month after would be off trend, it’s so stupid 🥴

The denim maxi skirts just make me think of 19 Kids and Counting/weird cults, I can not believe they're trendy now.

honestly it's just one trend i don't understand at all 💀had to look up that reference cause i never watched it but completely agree lol

Love this video! Did want to note though that the Jacquemus campaign was 3D/CGI not AI, so a human artist (or team of artists) created that 💖

oooh thank you, clearly mixed up my terms here 😅 so glad you liked it, thanks for commenting 🫶

@@katierobinson no worries! Very understandable confusion, just have been seeing people interchanging these terms lately but I think the distinction is important. Keep up the awesome videos 👏

The problem with thrifting a trend is you might not be buying new but you are still adding to the trend which makes fast fashion brands produce the item so you might be doing your tiny bit for the environment but adding to the trend causes more waste even if you didn't buy it 😢 im not blaming you or anyone else before I get jumped on its just fashion and the waste will happen unfortunately
@katierobinson Жыл бұрын
so true & i definitely don’t blame you for saying it!!! personally i’m slowing figuring out my style rn and part of that is listening to trends to figure out what i like and don’t like! fashion itself is v flawed like you said, all shopping has repercussions 🥴

@@katierobinson I love fashion too but I've started to only buy a "trend" if it's something that I can carry on wearing after the trend more a nod to the trend but in a more classic style we all need to wear clothes it's the over excessive chasing of trends that's filling up those land fills I'm happy that fashion is trying to be more sustainable be we have a long way to go 😔

Whats the difference between a brand producing an item for a laugh and producing an item just because we can feel pretty im sorry but fashion in general as much as i love it is all excessive ❤
@katierobinson Жыл бұрын
honestly so true 😮💨 they’re both bad but at least the difference in mindset is important imo, creating something JUST to throw it away is more unforgivable - even if the other stuff they produce is going the same way, they did plan for someone to wear it?? ik it’s flawed logic😭

@@katierobinson it's really good to see someone trying to educate people on over consuming rather than trying to sell products ❤
