The trick is you go down the left side of the economic focus tree, the right side is a trap and is actually much worse. If you go down the first few focuses of the left side and then go straight down the byzantine path you can invade Turkey very early and you can win before you even need to invade Bulgaria, then you invade Italy before they join the axis and you join the axis first so you get Germany on your side, then you get all of Italy's factories and manpower because you can immediately core them.

The focus of improving relations with Balkan countries works with Czechoslovakia Austria and turkey as well letting you get a butt load of factories for free. In addition the Byzantium focus tree gets virtually unlimited manpower if you complete all of your objectives, getting insane buffs to recruitable population, cores on all the balkans, Italy, the levant, Egypt, Lydia and Tunisia. In addition to the combat buffs you get for retaking all the Byzantine land, this can make Greece possibly the strongest end game nation in the game. It is really difficult to pull off since you need both axis and allied land to do it.

Yeah The memey aspect helps, But there is something to be said for a challenge. One day, Legendary Archaon No Mods mortal Empires victory will be mine. Second try got to turn 90 easy then made a poor decision, but knowing now that it's possible given the right geo political ai factors around you (and learning from mistakes) I honestly find myself tempted to chip away at that goal some more whenever I have time. Just know If you believe it's safe to siege Kislev because '4 armies from Reikland and Ostland can't possibly move a screen and a half over here and initiate battle in a single turn', then you don't know Legendary Ai, but you will know Asavar Kul's pain

Plus, if you put guys on the Aegean islands, you can attack the Turks from 3 points instead of one. Makes getting over the straits so much easier. I was honestly surprised at how clumsy he was this video, he made things harder for himself and his focus order seemed really strange to me. Granted Greece takes trial and error since the focus tree doesn't tell you much of what it actually does, and he probably didn't have time for that, but yeah, I was honestly a bit disappointed with his performance this time

I was confused at the time, remembering that ISorrow had definitely formed the Byzantines in BTB before. So that's probably it, the Macedonian Empire decision.
