BLAST! It's more reviews of terrible games!
This was an absolute monster to get made. I wanted to do something special for the tenth WGYNP, and I figured that returning back to the horrible PS2 games that Blast Entertainment released, would make for the most fun. I really hope that you all like it. I'm very proud of this one. I'd also like to mention that I'm honestly in awe of KZbinrs like Caddicarus who are able to regularly release videos that are over an hour long. It's bananas.
I must give a TREMENDOUS shoutout to my insanely talented friend Conor, who made all of the artwork for the ending. Thanks buddy. Also to Jade, who designed the thumbnail for the video. You might also recognise a certain Session Moth Martina lending her voice in the ending animation!

One of the few games I had growing up was a Dr. Doolitle tie in game for the PS2 that my grandma gave to me. It was made or distributed by blast entertainment. That smirking bomb still haunts my nightmares. Mocking me and my entire bloodline.

Oh god that Wacky Races game brings back (bad ) memories. There actually was a good Wacky Races game came a few years prior on the PS2 that had voice acting ( Inculding two of the original actors), character specific weapons etc. I loved it & one of my friends liked it too but his parents accidently bought the Blast game instead. He was so dissapointed.

A couple years ago there was a massive leak of Data Design Interactive's assets after they were found on discarded hard drives. I'm not sure if all of it has been looked through but a lot of weird stuff has been discovered already.

The project would eventually be recycled into Gubble Buggy Racer I want to say Data Design Interactive's take on Sonic the hedgehog was part of the 2020 Data Design Interactive Leaks, but I can't be certain.

Awesome video. So, Blast strikes back again. I was kind of surprised that there exists a "Xena: Warrior Princess" game on the PS2. I'm actually familiar with the Playstation game, mostly because I was knee deep in Greek Mythology at the time. Honestly, the fact that "Blast" made a PS2 version (looked this up on a gameplay video) in 2006, seven years after the first PS1 game and five years after the show ended is just baffling. Not to mention the game itself looks to be a real downgrade from the PS1 game, since the PS2 was capable of much better graphics. Also props to the animated ending, very dark and very funny at the same time. Seems Mr. Wilkins just can't catch a break for developing all those shit games. lol

9:07 Ironically enough, Paddington actually was bothered by a bumblebee in the seventh episode of the classic 1975 stop motion series, saying it must have been after his marmalade sandwich (those sandwiches are to Paddington as honey is to Pooh), but it was outside. Even still, it doesn't fit/make sense here, and I also shudder at the idea of how Blast would have handled a video game based off the original Milne Pooh series... and 31:12 LOL, Action 52 mechanics, dying in the middle of the air. 😂
