While you KILLED IT at the fashion show, I got sad vibes from this episode 15 years ago☹️. While in commentary I recall you talking about how you drank quite a bit and lost your purse while there in Vegas, and that it was a rough trip overall - but you didn’t allude why. I got the hint though. The battles you fought while still managing to smile for us is heartbreaking. You deserved so much better!!! You all did. The joy I feel when I see you living your best life now is genuine. It’s also inspiring that you can look back with so much grace. So proud of you Holly ❤️

Narcissists get mad when their victims ACTUALLY have fun or excel. They like having a trophy girlfriend because it makes them look. When they look good to the public, they feel good - which is what they want - yet at the same time, they resent you for having fun or succeeding at something outside of them.

It's so funny that you say you didn't consider a main "character" in the beginning, because to me you were always the main one lol. I think probably because the main girlfriend title, but also because I loved you and Bridget the most. Like you two made that show every thing to me. When I look back into my past and see the abuse and trauma I’ve endured privately and remembering the way that it felt is heartbreaking to me, let alone scary to even imagine it being seen by millions. I was always surprised by how the show made very little effort to hide the underage drinkers. They would say how someone was 19 or 20, and then show them with a drink in their hand -- obviously enjoying their buzz. I don't care that they drank, but it's interesting that it was shown so openly by the show. Couldn't they get in trouble for such things?

This was my favorite commentary so far. I think a lot of these issues deserve discussion (e.g., the emotional abuse of a controlling personality; body dysmorphia-worse here because an external, older power figure fostered and used self-doubt) and Holly does a wonderful job explaining those themes. I hope she can use that talent for good on some upcoming project. That said, I can’t believe I watched this in my early twenties and thought it was okay.

Yup. When you've lived through that kind of abuse and you get out of it, it's super clear what it really was. I had one in high school who gave me a curfew- if I want home to answer the phone at 9pm I was in TROUBLE. And I couldn't go to friends or family functions without him, and if he didn't want to then I was supposed to not go. He tried to stop me going to my sister's wedding, when I was her maid of honor, because he didn't want to go. I didn't go to my junior prom because he didn't want to go. Coming out of it and now getting decades away from it, I'm sitting here like "f him, I should have walked away when that first happened."

I love Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas. I haven't seen the movie in years, but used to know every line of the film, and read it and other HST books multiple times a year. So much so I was probably the only one to check it out in highschool from my sophomore to senior year. Then again it's probably, because I would just renew it so no one else really had the chance. 😅 When you get reminders or billed for unreturned books at the end of every year I couldn't remember if I had returned it or not when I couldn't find it. This sweet old librarian told me I'd returned F&L at the end of my senior year and "not to worry dear" I ended up finding it half a year later. Either she waved the fee or something, because no one got word of it. So now I still have it.

I know exactly what you’re talking about at the beginning. Even watching back because I have the dvds, she says little things some people probably just look over like on meet the girls, all of the ladies were going to the Star Wars event and she’s walking with destiny and she says “we’re the black girls” I guess because they have the black dresses on. Sometimes I just feel like she’s just inconsiderate in what she says and does but they just made her out to be the “cool” one on the show while they tried to make you look jealous or make Bridget a cryer and we all saw what they were trying to do.

Love hearing you speak on these episodes and it’s amazing that you can watch and find positives even though it was a negative time. I think it’s healthy instead of completely suppressing like other people do. Love to hear season 2, a lot happened season 2 compared to season 1.

Around the 19 minute mark, is that an orb moving toward Holly on the right side of the screen? It flies toward her left shoulder and then out behind her right arm.

Hi Holly, can you say why the beginning of the episode with the car washing was so bad...I don't get it. Was it because they were exploting her? Cause this type of behavior was in other episodes/seasons.

@@OfficialHollyMadison You know how people are, always something smart to say. You clearly said you didn’t even know until you watched it recently. Even if you did, did they expect you to write in to TMZ at the time and make sure they knew you didn’t like the top? That’s ridiculous.

I used to have a boyfriend who was exactly the same if I started having fun, especially if I was having a conversation with another person and enjoying it, guy or girl, he had to swoop in and break it up. Or if I started laughing or smiling in any way, nope, got to cut that off. SO. F-ing. Annoying. I feel you.

Hi Holly!!!! You're amazing, keep up the great work!! 🌺😍💝😘 I'm so sorry you felt like the producers were trying to make you look dumb. 😪 I think fans of your show really identified with all of your goofy, human moments!! Of course all three of you were gorgeous perfection, but what made great TV was when you were being silly, and I particularly loved when you would go against Hef's wishes!! Those were definitely highlights of the show! 👻 When you girls were happy, goofy, sad, mad, we felt those feelings with you in the story and made you feel like real friends, even though the vast majority of your fans had never met you and will never be able to meet you! 💝 As far as the group dynamic and having to be grouped together all the time, it's probably like being in a famous pop group, and you just vibe together so beautifully that the producers want to get as much of that as they could! It is sad that it was so stifling for you but it's awesome that you are still creating so much on your own!! 🥂🍾🎉 Whatever the case may be, this is a wonderful series and it's lovely that you are sharing your personal perspective on this captivating show!! Xoxoxoxo 💖
