in my opinion, Okidogi, Monkidori, and Fezandipiti barely feel like legendaries at all (Monkidori especially). Their names don't sound mystical or powerful, they sound like "haha funny pun name" like normal common Pokemon, and they look like plush toys. Fezandipiti is the closes to actually looking like a legendary, but still not quite there. I feel like they're only legendary for the sake of their "lore" related to Pecharunt. They easily could have just been unique forms of normal Pokemon, kinda like how Bloodmoon Ursaluna is just an alternate form of Ursaluna, but with extra lore, rather than a legendary.

I hate it when they try to make rock types and ice types bulky and give them defensive stat spreads... Even though their typing is the opposite of defensive. Ice is bad enough, but we need to talk about how TERRIBLE rock types are. Seriously... Why does nobody ever bring this up? Rock has *five* weaknesses (for context, ice only has _four)._ Rock has fewer resistances than weaknesses, and it doesn't even resist itself! It has NO immunities (unlike both ground and steel). And most rock types are also dual type rock/ground, which just _doubles_ their most common weaknesses! I thought rocks were known for being solid and hard to break, yet almost always if I see a rock type it usually means it'll get one-shot by a grass or water move. :/ Its times like this that I wonder why the heck they didn't just have a single "earth" type instead of both rock _and_ ground.

I did that Pokedoku a bit earlier, apparently Koraidon cannot learn Earthquake. Gets pretty much every other Ground-type TM, and it says in the Dex that it can split the land apart with its fists, that's more justification for getting the move than something like Ekans or Bonsly

Grass is mostly bad when mixed with a typing that does it zero favor like Dark, Psychic or Bug or if they are just a pure Grass type with no distinguishing factor due to the crazy high competition for Grass type slot, but the typing itself isn't a death sentence as proven by the fact basically every tier has at least one or two really good grass type minimum and probably more that are viable

I've said this before, but Mesprit would have seen a lot more play if its stat spread was 75 HP and 101 in every other stat. Yeah, it's defenses get a decent bit lower and its offenses also get hurt a smidge, but 101 base Speed would have carried it throughout Gens IV - VI as a poor man's Azelf and would still at least offer it the niche of being faster than base 100s nowadays. Not to mention the "balanced" member of the trio being slower than the tanky member of the trio is just wrong. Game Freak really chose the Lake trio out of all trios to suddenly break traditions. Also, have Mystical Power either function as it did in Legends: Arceus (boost both Attack and Sp. Atk if the user's combined Attack and Sp. Atk are higher than its combined Defense and Sp. Def, otherwise boost Defense and Sp. Def) or just be a straight up free Work Up. It being a worse Torch Song is just crazy. Guzzlord, Regirock, Regice, Wo-Chien, and Shaymin would all benefit from recovery moves. And real recovery moves at that, not just Rest or Synthesis (Wo-Chien doesn't even get access to _at least_ Synthesis, so there's that as a factor for it being so bad). Regirock, Regice, and for completion's sake Registeel could all use a signature move as well, courtesy of their shiny new DLC siblings getting access to some (with varying degrees of usefulness). Regirock could get a Stone Axe variant, maybe make it 80 bp and 100% because of Legendary privileges. Regice could get a 100 bp Freeze-Dry variant due to being the embodiment of extreme cold. Registeel could have a Steel-type Body Press that damages based off its Defense _or_ Sp. Def, whichever one is higher. And give them their own type variants of Dragon's Maw, while you're at it. Yes, this is giving Registeel a 120 bp STAB coming off of one of its 150 base stats. No, it probably still wouldn't be too broken since it still lacks recovery. Articuno needs Snow Warning instead of Snow Cloak. That's it. Unless they reintroduce Frostbite as a status, then a Flame Body equivalent for that status would let it fit right back into its trio. Munkidori... already has so much. 106 Speed, 130 Sp. Atk, Nasty Plot, dual 90+ bp STAB, a decent Ability, etc etc. The only thing I can think of is to swap its Hidden Ability for a better one. Maybe give it Competitive, to counter Intimidate like its big bro Okidogi? Now that I think of it, I thought Munkidori _did_ have Competitive? Must be someone's buff idea I thought was real (because Munkidori's kit is so forgettable).

Honestly something I’m only now noticing is if calyrex ice kept a base speed of 30 it would speed tie amongus which is really nice for trick room for a chance to not be hit by spore additionally it would be slower than ting-lu ursaluna and iron hands who all it can deal massive damage to while technically being slower than kingambit being able to hit it hard enough for a partner to kill with highhorse power so that’s one thing glastrier has over calyrex ice even though it’s still horrible

Mesprit, I kinda see what Game Freak was going for. Azelf is one extreme stat wise, being very frail, but very strong and fast. Uxie isn't that powerful, but it's incredibly durable. Mesprit is just somewhere in the middle, though it's noticeably slower than both of them, but has slightly more HP. I feel like the way to go with Mesprit would be to go for one more extreme, dropping down its Speed to 55, and making its HP stat 105. 105/105/105 bulk is so much better than 80/105/105, especially since it'll have access to 101+ HP Substitutes. Bye bye, Blissey. The lower Speed makes U-turn with Mesprit much more effective for coming it, taking a hit, and safely slow pivoting to a frail attacker. I feel like Mesprit would still need to officially receive Recover, which it has only in PLA, to become most effective with this change, but I think slow high HP Mesprit would be a much nicer role for it than weird balance build. Guzzlord is a Pokemon that knows what it wants to do, be a slow, bulky attacker, but most of its points are in HP, and that ends up being empty HP with such low Defenses. Its Attack stat isn't too high either, and while its Special Attack isn't too far behind, nobody even runs Special Guzzlord when it gets STAB Knock Off. So I feel it'd be best to pull a bunch of points out of HP, and some out of Special Attack, to bolster Guzzlord's Attack, Defenses, and a small bit of Speed. I'd give it a stat spread of 167 HP/113 Atk/83 Def/71 SpA/83 SpD/53 Spe. They're all prime numbers still, keeping in line with the stat spreads of the other Ultra Beasts, and 167/83/83 ends up being bulkier than the original 223/53/53. 53 Speed lets Guzzlord get the jump on something like Kingambit, and 113 Attack has a much bigger bite to it than 101 Attack does. Articuno is tragic in singles purely because it's a Defensive Pokemon with one of the worst Defensive typings of all time. The fact that its Special stat went to Special Defense instead of Special Attack like Zapdos and Moltres is truly a shame, and I'd go ahead and switch those two stats out. Snow Cloak as its Hidden Ability, I'd probably also replace with Snow Warning. Yeah, it's a much wilder ability compared to Flame Body and Static on Moltres and Zapdos, but Snow doesn't boost Articuno's Ice-type power, only its Defense. There's no "freeze opponents on contact" ability because that would be frankly insane, so giving Articuno some extra Defense and accuracy bypassing Blizzards would be a dramatic buff befitting of such a weak link of a trio. (I'd also argue that Ice should have more resistances and that Stealth Rock should be heavily reworked to be less punishing, but that's a different rant for a different time) Regirock, I have no issues with its stat spread. It's a bit passive, sure, but it's stupidly bulky, and can use that bulk to its advantage. However, there's still some changes that could really improve Regirock's viability. With Regieleki and Regidrago getting abilities that accentuate their STAB types, I figure Regirock could get in on that with Sand Stream, which would boost its Special Defense and make it even bulkier. It'd basically be a weaker, but much bulkier Gigalith. You could make a further argument though that Regirock should get a recovery move of some sort, since many of Regirock's PokeDex entries mention that it repairs itself with rocks it finds. That'd turn Regirock into some horrifying fusion between Gigalith and Garganacl to battle against, but I can accept that a Legendary Pokemon should be busted. Dark/Grass typing for Wo-Chien is unfortunate. It has a great set of resistances to really powerful types, but an even greater set of weakness to even stronger types. Yeah, Ice-types should definitely be updated to have actual resistances, but Dark and Grass on their own are mostly fine with their type charting. It's just that unfortunately together, they have some glaring flaws. That said, Wo-Chien's biggest problem is that it's a Defensive Pokemon that can't sustain itself too well. Yeah, it has Leech Seed, and Leech Seed was really successful as a standalone recovery move on Ferrothorn. But Ferrothorn only has two weakness, as well as an even better Defensive typing and ability. Wo-Chien really wants something like Strength Sap, and I could very easily see Wo-Chien learning that move. It's know for draining the life force out of vegetation. I'd also make the argument it should learn Toxic to go all in on stalling in singles, for the same reason of "it drains the life from vegetation". That, plus the fact that Wo-Chien already learns Poison Powder. Munkidori's biggest issues are its awkward Speed stat, and its reliance on Focus Blast on its terrible offensive typing. 106 is such an awkward number, since there's a good amount of mons that sit at the 108-110 range that Munkidori wishes it could outspeed. I'd go the petty route and give Munkidori like 5 points in Speed, putting it at 111, which would make it way more annoying to face in battle when it's outrunning things like Infernape, Keldeo, Galvantula, Alolan Ninetales, Walking Wake, Ogerpon, etc. As far as an extra coverage move, Earth Power would be ideal since Ground is a much more useful pairing for its STABs, but that wouldn't make sense. Mystical Fire would though. I miss that move being a TM. Glastrier really just wants Ice Shard. It's very strong, and making up for the lousy Speed with a STAB priority move would do wonders for it. I'm curious how much mileage Shaymin would get out of being a Grass/Fairy type. Mono-Grass is holding it back quite a lot, and the Fairy-typing would give it quite a few more resistances to types like Fighting, Dark, and Dragon, while nullifying its Bug weakness. It learns a good amount of Fairy-type moves already too, like Dazzling Gleam and Play Rough. Maybe Calm Mind would help it too, since Growth is pretty awkward to use on a Pokemon that doesn't get either Chlorophyll or Weather Ball. Regice, I would give pretty much identical buffs that I gave Regirock. Snow Warning as an ability, Recover as an extra move. And now suddenly Regice won't die. It'd be a fair bit more exploitable as an Ice-type with no resistances, but I'd give it one more tool to compensate for that with Freeze Dry. These changes would make all of these legendary Pokemon fittingly powerful, but probably pretty unbalaced. But, Pokemon is an inherently unbalanced game, and I'm just spitballing random ideas on KZbin. I'm not in game development for a reason.

Regice should also get Freeze Dry, and if you pay attention to the level up learnset, you notice that Freeze Dry should've been in there instead of Blizzard. However, I've been thinking about altering their stats as well. Would they be better if they got the following stats? Based off the color of the stat page shown in the beginning, it's probably a pure Grass mon, and with it also being so slow, there're only a handful of mons it could be. Earlier this year I came up with changes to Pokémon's types and abilities that I would make if I could make that call. It's funny that it started with Give Sneaseal Tough Claws and that ability turned out to be the one that I handed out the most. Anyway eventually I decided that since it was hypothetical anyway I had no reason not to get absurd and decide that some Pokémon had "identity abilities" and a normal ability This included Leavatate and Beast Boost. That is unnecessary rambling with a preamble to tell you that I also thought about giving different abilities to the Ultra Beasts. why doesn't regirock just get Regenerator or something? isnt it supposed to regenerate its body with rocks over time or something? and Regice is supposed to be unmeltable but it doesn't get Heatproof? neither would make the Pokemon good but they would at least be better than what they have currently lol

Azelf looks faster then Uxie but slower then Azelf. It looks more bulky then Aelf but not Uxie. It also looks like it can hit harder then Uxie but not Azelf. So i think ganefreak messed up the stat distribution and never fixed it. The Speed should have the 105 switched from its Attack and problem solved

Regirock's sturdy should be turned into a regular ability, While giving it a new hidden ability that sets stealth rock when hit with a physical move It's not too much since many mons have 3 abilities. It's would be broken and it's usage would skyROCKet bun intended 😂 That would make it much better, as it would free up a move slot (rabid spin) lets be honest why doesn't it have this 9:56 it's using it right here.🙄 And there will be the mind game of: is it srurdy or is it this ability holding focus sash or possibly another item. The mind games don't stop there, it would play a crucial role before the match even starts, because if your opponent does not lead with an answer to regirock you could freely set up spikes and steals rocks courtesy of the ability or the move if you hold another ability & it's presence could be used as bait to lure a potential answer to regi and instead you lead an answer to said mon.

I played pokedoku for the first time today and im rlly confused why i lost bc i didnt have any wrong guesses but i ran out of pp when i got to the last row, i put gogoat on learns earthquake no evo line and it said game over. but it learns earthquake. Gogoat evolves from Skiddo so that doesn’t fit in that slot. PP is just the amount of guesses remaining. You have 9 guesses for the 9 slots so if you get 1 or more wrong you can’t complete it.
