For water id have to have said Poliwhirl. I know you have to go back to the 90s but at least at some point it was a competitive mon that was preferred over its evolution. Higher speed and essentially the same special, combined with Hypnosis and Amnesia (best move in game at the time) made it a gen 1 powerhouse.

I think Magic Guard is better than Magic Bounce. Just because being immune to passive damage includes much more immunities than bouncing status moves back. And while I'm aware that Espeon broke Baton Pass with this ability, with BP banned, it is comparable to Alakazam. So the better ability wins the contest here right? Espeon gets outclassed. Its stats are worse but get the job done regardless, its movepool is worse but usually hidden power is enough, and so the ability sends Alakazam always a tier higher then Espeon. Im pretty sure that if Alakazam had bounce and Espeon Guard, we would have had Psyspam led by Espeon while Alakazam would gotten prominent by its BP shenanigans (well as a receiver I guess because it doesnt get Baton Pass).

One of the strangest stat buff is Woobat (Not Swoobat), who, for some reason, got It's hp buffed, gaining only 2 points when it evolves. Wtf

There is no way Scald is stronger than Dire Claw or Torch Song. The only reason you say that is because it's more prevalent.

There are a LOT of better psychic moves to choose from here than psystrike! I do agree that lumina crash is the real winner, but psystike isnt even in the top 5 for me! Even esper wing is better than psystrike, being a decently strong physical psychic type move that not only has a high crit rate, but also boosts your speed by 1 when used! But thats still barely top 5 for me. The main contenders are instruct, one of the most powerful moves in doubles, lunar blessing in doubles heals both of your pokemon AND removes any status effects on them, photon geyser not only has great stats with 100 power and accuracy, but it also ignores the opponents abilities entirely, and lastly take heart is literally calm mind (an already incredible move) but it also clears negative status effects! All of these moves are better than psystrike! If i had to pick one of these other moves, it would be lunar blessing, its just a straight buff to one of the best pokemon out there, like they nerfed cresselias stats but it still is stronger now than it was before the nerf because it gained lunar blessing! Its an insane move for doubles! But yeah, still, lumina crash is the true winner as the best move overall.

Regirock's sturdy should be turned into a regular ability, While giving it a new hidden ability that sets stealth rock when hit with a physical move It's not too much since many mons have 3 abilities. It's would be broken and it's usage would skyROCKet bun intended 😂 That would make it much better, as it would free up a move slot (rabid spin) lets be honest why doesn't it have this 9:56 it's using it right here.🙄 And there will be the mind game of: is it srurdy or is it this ability holding focus sash or possibly another item. The mind games don't stop there, it would play a crucial role before the match even starts, because if your opponent does not lead with an answer to regirock you could freely set up spikes and steals rocks courtesy of the ability or the move if you hold another ability & it's presence could be used as bait to lure a potential answer to regi and instead you lead an answer to said mon.

Scyther in the Gen V spinoff Pokemon Conquest has a higher BST than Scizor and one of the best moves in the game, making it outright one of the best Pokemon in the game.
