​@@thevilereviews7812Also, in defense of animated Optimus, the point of this version and the entire show himself is that it was purposely supposed to be very different from the regular canons of the others so I don't think it's fair to compare him to the other versions since the entire point of this Optimus is that just like the turtles from rise of the teenage mutant ninja turtles, they're supposed to learn and train to become the figures that most of their other versions betray them as.

Bro really saw the best TF show and delivered the worst take 💀💀💀, Animated Optimus its still courageous, heroic, yet still imperfect, but he fought enemies no other Optimus in any cartoons faced, Elitism, Animated is the only show thas shows Autobots can be complete douchebags and even borderline evil, he is not some boring always perfect chosen one that is the best at everything, he earns his leadership, by commiting to protect, he is noble despite Cybertron as a society repeatedly diminishing him and his team of misfits Auobots, which at the end makes him way more heroic and worthy of the name Optimus Prime than any other animated incarnation, he still has all the morals and values Optimus represents, yet he still feels fresh and new.

I actually love this take on Optimus. He is a very different take on the character, but he's still kind and noble, and strong enough to be gentle, as he should be. I love the idea that he's a regular Autobot. This is an Optimus that fans can kinda see themselves in. He's an underdog who, against all odds, manages to prove himself in the end. Of course, I know that's not what Optimus represents for most people. Optimus is a father figure everyone looks up to and strives to be. But I don't think there's anything wrong with a unique take on Optimus like this. As for the Megatron thing, I love that they have no prior relationship with one another. It leads to a moment that no other Optimus/Megatron rivalry has ever done, and it is super satisfying as a result. Megatron always views Optimus as just an interference, and he never refers to him by name. He just calls him Autobot. Then, at the end of the series, he finally refers to him by his full name, Optimus Prime, which is such an amazing moment that shows how much Optimus has proven himself. I always viewed Transformers Animated as Optimus Prime's Smallville, and as such it works very well. This one is absolutely one of my favorite takes on Optimus Prime. Nonetheless, I respect your opinion. This is such a unique take on the character, and he's not for everyone. If you don't like this version, I think that's perfectly fine

I think Animated Optimus Prime is a great depiction of the character, he's different, but still the same kind, brave, capable autobot we know and love. I love that the makers of "Transformers Animated" decided to tell this unique story of Optimus Prime's journey from Elite Guard trainee, to space bride repair man, to hero of two worlds. If Animated was renewed for it's fourth season we would have seen Optimus Prime take his rightful place as the leader of the autobots. If anything, the Optimus Prime from "Transformers 2 through 5" is the worst version of the character.

You realize animated is basically a reinterpretation of the old g1 concepts right? That’s why the deceptions are so much bigger and stronger because they are the military hardware while the autobots are civilians, (they deweaponized after the war). This is also why megatron and Optimus don’t really know each other until they are enemies, because that’s how it played out in g1. It was the movies and prime that threw in their past friendship and all that.

had a feeling it would be Animated Optimus who was picked. As is the trend in this comment section, I will have to disagree. Not only with him being the worst iteration of Optimus, but also that he is more aligned with Orion Pax. The only thing that makes this Optimus different is a lack of strength and a supreme rank. Strength can easily be excused as in this iteration, Decepticons are military and Autobots are civilians, even Ultra Magnus was one-shotted by Starscream. Thousands of weaker Autobots vs a couple stronger Decepticons is (personally) a much more interesting contrast. Optimus not being supreme commander of the Autobots is also perfectly in line with this version of the Autobots. A much more morally gray variant who don’t like organics, lie to the populous of Cybertron if it means keeping the peace, and creating the Omega Sentinels. These are all things that Optimus himself is against, something that makes Optimus stand out against Cybertron’s corrupt caste-system. Optimus may not be Cybertron’s supreme leader or incredibly strong, but he is a hero. Just like every other variant of Optimus. No taking peoples faces, no killing Vehicons, just a hero with his space bridge repair crew.

I have to respectable disagree. Animated is a completely different variant of the character he's basically a noobie. In the beginning he's never met nor seen Decepticons (I can only assume in action or up close). When Megatron was about to board their ship/omega Supreme the autobots were surprised to not only see the leader of the Decepticons they were surprised how big he was and the fact he can fly. In the show it explores on prime learning how to be a hero/leader of a bunch of repair bots so of course has not gonna ace it right away. And sorry again I believe Optimus loosing to starscream would be understandable from a writers perspective. Making screamer a legit threat to a bunch of repairbots and the bots have to takedown while trying to save a bunch of humans and make a difficult choice of giving up the allspark. Lastly I'm pretty sure it will be hard trying to fight someone who can not only turn to a jet but also fly in robot mode as if he's wearing a jetpack.

Well, you not wrong and I do see your point, but imagine that Animated Optimus is at his awkward teenage/young adult year, in fact, this is seemed more like Orion Pax before he is a prime or when he just getting the title. Yeah, even if you look at it this way, it is still pretty hard to imagine Optimus Prime the greatest Autobots leader looks...not so great. Maybe they should make Animated as a reimagine prequel for Orion Pax, season 1to 2 showcase Orion Pax's leadership and fighting skill improving and in end of season 3 his heroism and (spoiler) sparing Megatron earns his title as Optimus Prime. Me personally think Optimus Prime from Bay film or Robot in Disguise 2015 is the worst interpretation of the character.

@@adamtorske9236 I mean, he did have a point in saying that a brick wall has more character than half the cast in TFP. Besides, Optimus isn’t suppose to be some condescending void of nothing. He’s supposed to be kind, supportive, charismatic, funny, a light in a pit of darkness that both the autobots, and audience, can turn to for guidance. G1 did this really well, rescue bots did this really well. If you want a good stoick Optimus prime to look up to if that’s what you want, watch the first Live action transformers movie (hot take I know). At that point he wasn’t a violent killer. He was more gentle, and open to his autobots, and didn’t act like a brick wall where it wasn’t needed.

@@dis_random_kid8699 Nah his point wasn’t made at all, one reason is that he simply doesn’t understand this version of Optimus, if you haven’t noticed every Optimus is different. Okay first question really is did you even watch the show, because there’s many moments in which he is basically all your points here. How was he condescending in anyway in the show I sure can’t recall any moment, if your referring to him arguing with Ratchet that’s a whole different aspect then, there are many moments he does show multiple different kinds emotion or feelings throughout the show. There is a really great video that shows and explains the reasoning behind all those emotions Optimus has in a given moment, also a great point is that what literally Ratchet had stated is that he keeps his emotions in check and was a very much different person before he became a Prime. So the point of that is who’s to say he wasn’t different before he had then acquired the Matrix and became a Prime, as well as another thing is that the War for Cybertron and the many Autobots he had lost including then Cybertron had sure most likely made changed and took a heavy toll on him. Also there are moments still in the show that the Autobots turn to him for guidance, heck an example of this is when they literally lost him for a while in the beginning of S2, and the other Autobots where like fighting with each other and making mistakes, and just being more all around snarky toward each other and even the humans, because he mainly wasn’t there to basically be the leader they all much needed. There’s many moments in the show that he was all of your points kind, as he sure was being very understanding and comforting towards that of Arcees, Bumblebees, Bulkheads, and even Ratchets issues or problems that they were facing either about themselves or something that happened to them, supportive to the humans and his other Autobots on the team, charismatic, and heck even kinda funny at times I think. Honestly I could go on and on about it but in all I think this Optimus Prime is one of the best versions ever and more so even that it seemed Peter Cullen had a good time voicing him and further said that he wished it continued on, so that it in my opinion makes it all much better

I don’t think judging Animated like this is fair. Animated did not misinterpret Optimus (unlike Bay films where he is almost giddy about murder) they just went on a completely different direction. It is like saying the Assasin Spider-Man is a bad interpration of Spider-Man cause he kills people. Also my favourite Transformer is Arcee from the Transformers Prime series, not Bumbelbee. Although I admit Bumblebee version of him pushed him very close to top 3. Might have cracked it if his relationship with Charlie continued in Rise of the Beasts.

@AlezanderNX Yes I am because in the Bay films he isn’t portrayed as a grizziled war hero or the like. He still gives speeches about how "Freedom is everyones right" and how "humans are violent but were we so different" then he goes and says stuff like "Give me your face", "I'll kill you", "You die". He straight up executes Sentinel when he is on the ground defensles while he is in the middle of begging for mercy. It's not that he kills people, it’s that he gives speeches Superman would before killing people like Rambo. Bay did not reimagine Optumis, he wrote a basic version of the classic Optimus but then made him kill people cause it looked cool on the screen

@AlezanderNX I explained why it's not a new take. He still has the paint of optimist paragon leader but in fight scenes he is a more soilder/killer version of Optimus. This contradiction would be fine if it was focused on but it's not. No one questions Optimus about executing Sentinal but not hurting the humans in Age of Exctinction for example. The Animated equivalent of this would be Optimus being unsure of himself normally but being a very confident and skilled fighter thats able to take on multiple Desepticons whenever there is a fight scene.
