Elecman's stage sucks because of the checkpoint placement. If you die in the boss fight, you have to climb and wait through the electricity arcs every single time.

There’s so many more reasons why it’s sucks. The whole stage you are climbing, and megaman 1 is the game where climbing is the slowest, and of course the infamous magnet beam where you NEED super arm to get it or else you have to replay the stage to get it. The overall level is just very painfully slow and not exciting.

To be fair most of the hate for chargeman comes from 1: his weakness sucks 2: his boss fight is tedious 3: his weapon sucks (outside of MegaMan maker) I don't think of anyone who unironically hates his level. Hell imo he has the best designed level in the game

So, my least favorite stage out of the 5 games I beat (2-6) 2. Wily 4. I love the conveyor belts, but this one had a pit of spikes under it. Not to mention, it is the last weapon farming stage before the masters and Wily robo 2. Boo beam is also terrible as the only thing that can dent it is crash bomb. Miss 2 and now you can't beat it for certain ones. 3. I am not a big fan of the needle man revisit. Mostly because of flash man doc robo and the rush jet. 4. I love almost all of them. Corsac 3 is actually the trouble one because I did not get the platforms, but I like all the stages. Yes, even toadman's. 5. Proto 1. Only because of the boss that I can't seem to jump over and the rush jet nerf killed it. 6. The game is pathetically easy thanks to the Jet adapter. I can't hate any of them, but I think I am dumping the L on Tomahawk man for hiding his item on the wrong path.

There's no way anything except Torch Man's stage from MM11 is the worst. Those walls of fire that auto-scroll you is the worst mechanic ever devised for a Mega Man game. Most Mega Man games are a good time for me to sit down for a little while and run through the Robot Master stages when I have some free time, except for MM11 because of Torch Man's stage.

4 was the first Megaman game I ever played, and Toad Man was the first level I picked, because Nintendo Power said so. The rain physics made me mad, so yeah, I agree with you. Toad Man himself has a cool design though, I feel bad that he's such a pushover.

I like Plant Man's stage pretty well because the gorilla mini boss is cool, and the music is great. It gives me jungle military vibes. However I can't really name a worse stage which shows how strong MM6 is. Game mechanics wise I think Knight Man's stage is pretty bland but with the awesome atmosphere and music its simply not allowed to put Knight Man last.

I was almost right when I selected Crash Man's level as the worst. It does make sense to choose.Wily 4 for that game. I always felt some boredom playing it and you can never have a full Crash Bomb weapon at the end of the Podo Trap fight. A boss order video might be neat. Here is a tip for you if you did not know this, the garbage golems in MM3 in Wily 4 can be one shotted with the Top Spin weapon.

MM1: I think Wily 3 precisely BECAUSE it is indeed just a hallway. MM2: Flash Man, it's not THAT bad, but it's a dumb imitation of an ice level that doesn't even really look like an ice level. It looks like something a 3 year old kid made when it got on its parent's computer THINKING they were making an ice level. MM3: The last stage. Ironically, it's because it includes an awesome song while having just the ONE ROOM. It reeks of "painfully incomplete stage" the worst kind. Like there was a whole level here, or at least a small level, but it got cut. MM4: Similar problem with MM2 I agree, no actual bad levels, but the least good is Skull Man's Stage. It's boring, poses no real challenge, and while the song is okay, it's also the most boring, exacerbating the issue. Still a decent stage and song though, TBH. Oh, and the weapon you get from it is the worst, further complimenting the problem. MM5: Final Stage, lack of Content, nuff said. MM6: TBH, Plant Man has grown on me over time, though I used to agree. If I had to pick a worst, it'd probably be Mr. X Stage 1. 1st Castle Stages tend to be Skill Gate stages, but in an annoying way. Nothing that ruins the game, but for MM6 I'd say it's at least enough to make a stage stand out for the worst spot. MM7: Freeze Man, it's annoying even by Ice Level Standards, moreso if you're going for the Bonus items in the stage. (Though, I kinda like your point about waiting for bombs to go off, didn't think of that) MM8: Clown Man, NOT a fan of this game's Juvenille theme-ing (and HATED seeing this revived in MM11 with Bounce Man), it is by far at its thickest in this stage. MM&B: I'm going to say Ground Man, but for an unusual Reason: GETTING THE GROUND MAN CD, those who have even attempted it will know what I'm talking about. You almost HAVE to use the part that boosts damage at low health to get it, and even then, need to be a good shot. MM9: Can't think of ANY Stages I dislike, so I'm going to agree with you here, if only because I'm having a hard time criticizing this one AT ALL. MM10: Commando Man, I have the opposite opinion about Pump Man(though I do have to ignore what Mega Man is obviously wading through), but even Commando Man is still decent IMHO. MM11: Wily 3, as much as I hate Bounce Man and "his" stage, it's at least a stage, and one that made a serious effort to be challenging in a unique way. Wily 3 though is a cheap token re-fight level without even a Wily Fight to cap it off, inexcusable. Disagree about MM8 being the worst, I think it has enough qualities to be better than both 11 and 6 at the least. 6 is still good, it's just that it's got stiff competition. Whereas 11, has good content, where it HAS content, but could use more. It avoids being terrible or mediocre, but, could be better.

Guts Man stage starts with one of the hardest parts of the whole game. Timed jumps on moving platforms that can fall out from under you into a bottomless pit of death. All with that awful noise the drowns out the awesome music. Sure you can breeze through it if you have the magna beam, the only way to get it without backtracking is to beat Guts Man. At least with the Wily stages, you're at the end the game. The Wily stages are supposed to be tough, and you already have everything you need to beat them.

As far as bad Mega Man levels go, we all know Frost Man's stage and Wily 1 tie for worst not just in Mega Man 8 but all the Mega Man games because of "jump, jump! slide, slide!" Honestly, I love the auto-scrolling of Tengu Man's stage and Wily 2 because it feels like Gradius (or U.N. Squadron if we're going to keep this about Capcom). For Mega Man & Bass stages, both Tengu Man and Astro Man give me PTSD, but it still has to go to King 2 because of how it's setup and just the massive difficulty spike of bosses, pretty much making this game the Super Mario Sunshine of Mega Man games. As for Impact Man's stage, the one cool thing about it that you might not realize is that Impact Man is basically attacking you before you reach his boss lair, if you never noticed those jack-hammer pieces attacking you at random angles, which kind of brings back memories of Jet Stingray's stage in Mega Man X4. And of course, for Mega Man 3, again, when it comes to the Doc Robot stages, Gemini Man's was the only one I could beat back in my childhood and I get really close with Spark Man's (then got screwed over by Quick Man). The other two are AIDS because of the hard bosses at the beginning of them, with Shadow Man's edging them all out because of the spikes in the beginning.

X1: Sting Chameleon's stage is just so boring. There's nothing remarkable about it whatsoever. X2: I would have said X-Hunter 3 back in the day, but I have since realized that Crystal Hunter is amazing. Now it's probably Central Computer 2 Electric Boogaloo. X3: The Doppler Stages are largely okay, so I'll have to dig into the Maverick stages. Safari Park, Neon Tiger's stage, is bland to look at, is the best example of why X3 has the worst soundtrack in the series, and the enemy placements are really annoying. X4: I like X4 a lot even if it is really easy. Some people might not like Jet Stingray's stage, but I actually think it's fine. The obstacles are largely pretty easy to avoid and the gimmick of the Ride Chaser is kind of fun. My least favourite is probably Web Spider's stage. I just don't like the trident enemies or those spider spawners. It's fine otherwise and it speaks to X4's quality that I can't think of a worse stage. X5: Volt Kracken's stage, no doubt about it. It's hard to even properly explain just how bad the stage is without ranting. Between the ride chaser, those annoying shielded enemies with Plug Ball, the separated gate keys you have to shoot in slowly, the whole thing is a mess. X6: X6 has a lot to pick from. I'm going to disregard the Nightmare Effect, since you can just go to one of these stages first. Recycle Lab's crusher, Amazon Area's leap of faith, the Nightmare Virus spam and random chance dictating upgrades in Central Museum, those damn minibosses in Magma Area, and just everything about the Gate stages are all egregious. I want to put all of them here and tell everyone at Capcom Dev Studio 3 responsible for this game to never touch a video game again, but I have to pick one. I think Gate 1 is slightly worse because you need the Shadow or Blade Armours, Jumper, or Zero and because of all of the instakill since you could have the misfortune to beat High Max early through sheer skill, go into Gate 1 and get stuck. Gate 2 is at least possible in that scenario, but Gate 1? No dice. X7: Crowrang's stage is everything wrong with the 3D of X7. The perspective is fucked and it's way too easy to miss an airship and die. X8: Inferno made me quit X8 and get someone else to do it for me the first time. I have since been able to beat it on my own and even brave it multiple times, but the spikes sections and the shitty autoscroller are almost harder than Sigma Palace. I'm a lot better at it now, but that's because I had to pracice so much. The aesthetics are also bland as fuck.

If you want a Mega Man game that makes 8 look good? Mega Man 3 (DOS). In its defense, it wasn't originally intended as a Mega Man game, was originally going to be some ecological themed game that got reskinned, and the bosses replaced and Metalls and Sniper Joes thrown in. While having expansive maze-like levels can be cool, sometimes, certain levels overdo this. The enemies seem to be a little too samey most of the time. Mega Man 1 (DOS), while shorter, at least A) had VGA graphics (3 DID NOT), and B) was actually trying to be a Mega Man game. It also had a short "intro" stage before the X games, and had all kinds of challenges, enemies, and obstacles (yes, even had those annoying yet iconic disappearing platforms) There was no 2. Also, can you really forgive a game that has most of its robot masters having the same pattern, with one exception (said exception, Bit Man, seems to be designed just so they could re-use the NES box art for Mega Man 3 (DOS), I'm not making this up)
