Especially in the 70s when the rules favored defenses. The funny thing about that 5-0 game was Dallas had won a game 6-2 near the end of the regular season. Both of those are unique scores in NFL history.

This was an awful game- panthers tried giving the game away but Lindley and offense made sure the Cards couldnt win. Too bad Cards had QB injuries that year. On a side note, Hoyer with the Texans should be on a video for worst playoff performance vs Chiefs. O'Brien kept him in too long and KC blew out the Texans as a result

Pretty unfair due to the fact that the Cards were on their 4th QB. Had Palmer never gotten hurt, the Cards would have beaten the Panthers like they owned them money. And this isn't even close to the worst playoff game. There was one 2 weeks before this video was posted between the Jags and Bills that ended 10-3. Oh, and keep in mind that the Cards and Panthers went a combined 28-4 the next season.

I knew it'd have to be this game! I'm a Cards fan and was at this game and somehow still loved it. I'm an Aussie and had only been to two other games ever - Dallas beating Washington in the last minute in Week 16 2013 and Arizona losing to San Fran the week before this playoff game. Lindley actually made some throws in that game, but I still bought my ticket to this playoff game knowing we'd but little to no offense on the board - they were on StubHub for around $100 and I happened to be flying into Charlotte that day. I think my extremely low expectations still made the game enjoyable, but there's something about the NFL playoffs that made it such a great experience, even though my team got stomped and was so horrible haha.

What about Vikings-Giants where the Giants shut the Vikings completely out 41-0? Only 6 times has a shutout happened in the NFC Championship Game, and 2000 was the last time it happened. It was the biggest shutout (and largest margin of victory period), second place being 1978 when the Cowboys shutout the Los Angeles Rams (they didn't move to St. Louis until 1995) 28-0. Meanwhile in the AFC Championship Game, a shutout has happened only twice, 1971 and 1982.
