FitnessFAQs will be covering the pseudo planche lean today. This exercise is one of the best for beginner-intermediates to use in their planche journey. It's a great progression to use in a workout because the exercise practices the forward lean needed in harder static planches, such as the straddle. The concept taught in today's video can be applied also to the pseudo planche pushup. If you want to get stronger at holds and planche pushups, using a wall is a perfect way to stay accountable. If you're looking for a complete planche training program, download Planche Pro to start making serious gains.

Since seeing this video I always bring my measuring tape to my trainings when training planche leans. I feel stupid but also smart when doing this and it really helps. Another tip that I have is pointing my toes while leaning forward. I don´t know if it's optimal but it prevents me from leaning back. I also use that technique when doing decline pushups, as I want naturally want to shift my weight back as the reps get harder.

Hey Daniel, does Planche Pro issue how to condition the forearms for the planche? Honestly I get forearm splints everytime I get back to training the planche and I'm out of ideas here
@ForrestHurrelbrink
@ForrestHurrelbrink 6 жыл бұрын
Much like running, you should slowly increase workload so that your body can handle it. In running you increase running distance slowly as the body gets used to the impact. The planche is different because it's a non-impact movement, but I'm sure the mechanics are the same. Start somewhere with a low enough workload on your forearms that it is sustainable. Slowly increase workload over a few weeks, and then decrease it on the fourth week in order to let your body fully recover. Kind of like stairs that go up 3 steps, and then down one repeatedly. Edit: Try to do a backward hand placement. Make sure you work on wrist flexibility and that they are properly warmed up before you begin a workout. I have a question regarding the straight arm during planche. About 5 years ago I broke my left arm, and now it overextends at the elbow farther than it should. Having my body weight on that arm doesn't feel comfortable and now I don't know what I should aim for: Training the straight arm (locked out) so that I stop feeling discomfort at the overextended position or strengthen the arm to the point where I can keep it straight (but not locked out) during a planche lean.

Planche may not be something you may be able to achieve safely in that case. However if you feel some form of tolerance like you can hold a little bit without discomfort perhaps just doing a lot of gpp for your elbows may help. You would definitely have to progress much slower than most to account for tendon recovery. Lots of banded curls and tricep push downs really helps build the integrity around the elbow joint. Also try straight arm dumbbell flys pausing in the planche and Maltese position. Definitely get a strong handstand and strong overhead position and things like ring dips will build even more stabilization musculature around the elbow joint that may be beneficial. But above all, take it very slow and progress patiently. Hope this helps.

I love how people moaning about the price of his programs and not thinking about what comes with it. You have unlimited access to the program, well-written PDFs, videos, and you also be part of a huge community that will help you with your training. Paying for a PT is much more expensive - also finding a good one is pretty hard these days since every idiot is PT nowadays. I think the price of each program is cheap. If you can't afford it then stop buying Starbucks and other unnecessary crap for a month and you will be able to buy it easily - or maybe two.
