Turns out aswell it was a small leak before he started work on it 😬 However I will say this guy (lacking plumber skills as he may be) is not the villain. Like any good anime he's the one you think is the bad guy however it's later revealed he's working for the real villain the evil landlord. But thanks to the guy recording this they proved the landlord was lying when she made the bitch move of trying to blame the tenants and she had to pay a LOT of money for all the damage to this and another apartment lol. The family have apparently moved somewhere with a decent landlord now so a happy ending. Though we don't know what happened to the plumber. Wouldn't be surprised if it was part of "the plan". Landlords can charge you for "damages or unreasonable wear" caused during your stay. If they flood the carpets and ruin the drywall, they can nail the ex-tennants with the cost and not have to soak up the reno costs themselves. Common scum-lord tactic. Send in a scab to mess things up, blame it on tenant miss use. If the tenant doesn't have video/photo, or any solid evidence, the courts often side with property owners under the assumption of being an upstanding citizen.
