it should be noted mashin mach also has a red repaint called mashin maka but it was a campaign exclusive in a reference to one scene where red's stone takes the form of a car that would later be the same kinda car as green's

I mostly bought Kiramazin because I thought the show was really cool and it was supposed to be a gift I got for myself before graduating from college. I still transform it back and forth into its different modes a lot but having no combinations with other mecha really discouraged me from getting the other toys.

some people i know also think had the summer movie not been delayed by covid ( more specifically kiramai red's actor actually had covid ) mashin zabyun may have been the movie mech * gets to the zabyun weapon modes * speaking of the movie in the movie zabyun has an over the shoulder double barrel cannon mode

some of the reasons for why the main mecha doesnt combine with like a sixth ranger's mecha 1. to keep things fresh n differant, we dont want it to always b the same 5 then 5 +1 ect 2. it didnt feet the theme and narative of that show 3. they may have tried 2 create that sort of combination but the result were so so and decided because of that to not use those, if u look at the 2002 super sentai art book, u will see in there such examples

Soundout I am so glad this is a video because I couldn't disagree with any of what u said. Mecha is my favorite part of Super Sentai and I've been following mecha after Gokaiger and started dedicating myself to watching Sentai since Zenkaiger. I did decide to watch everything from ToQger - Lupinranger VS Patoranger and and that felt so refreshing but I couldn't get down with Ryusoulger or Kiramger to this day. So u could only imagine my initial thought when Dino Fury was announced which turned out to be a good 2 seasons for me despite the switch of networks. Ik Covid was a big part of Kiramager's time too since the pandemic technically started too, but I was so disappointed with the final result. I liked the crystal component though and I was hoping for at least one real mecha combo and just everything was a let down. I gained hope again once Zenkaiger started airing and the future of Sentai has definitely improved for me! Definitely one of ur best videos especially on the part of Gingaman mecha because when I watched Lost Galaxy I was absolutely stunned with the designs and yet none combine and I'm completely okay with that

I love Kiramaizin since you can get two different mecha out of one robo like you showed off just having Mashin Fire, Shovellow and Mach to form Land mage and the Jetter and Helico to form Sky mage was neat Idea hopefully will happen again, I do agree the designers dropped the ball when making Mashin Express plus Smog Jouki forming King Express I love it in the show never been a fan of the toy due to as you showed off move the arms forward too much and off gores the head, heck even the Gigant Driller does not fit the theme minus it being somewhat shiny, I loved in the show when they introduced Mashin Zabyun since he looked cooler then Jouki to me plus as you pointed out the color scheme flowed better with Mashin Express, then this is Grateful Phoenix a neat idea the carrier mode could have used some additional tooling, but the mecha mode looked nice. Originally when the series started i was expecting a big combo at the end like Engine-O G12, but I did not mind the designers decided to go simple almost basic and scrap a big combiner in place for some shiny mechas

Dude saying this about the series that happened before Zenkaiger and Donbrothers, and is reported to have sold well despite the related series releasing during the pandemic. If it need be reminded, the worst selling merch lines in super sentai history are Kyuranger and zenkaiger. No-one really bought zenkaiger merch. and Kyuranger put out for sale twice as much as any other sentai yet only made slightly more than Zyuohger; indicating also that its final earnings are a vastly inflated number when other large lines earned far more. Just because Kiramager stuck to old school pre-limb swap design for mecha doesn't make them terrible, nor does the gemstone gimmick; they're just different. Which honestly compares better to other old sentai mecha in comparison to the failure of Bandai to recreate GaoGaiGar's 'Symmetrical Docking' system the next year on.

I like the main mecha of Kiramager, it has a nice color distribution and 2 "smaller" modes. I also distinction of the land vehicles having their main color + black, and the air ones having their main color + white. But the line... The 6th ranger mecha sucks. Nothing combines. The final mecha is somewhat cool, but doesn't click with the glossy stone gimmick, and... it doesn't combine!

I can’t disagree because I think the whole Crystal being zone is crap. I mean it could’ve been better if it allowed for different shapes, but it did not.

Man I forgot how ugly these things look. I remember all that translucent plastic turning me away from the toys and mecha as they were revealed and it didn't help I did not like the show one bit. It felt like knock off go-onger without any of the fun characters

No sentai mecha is bad though I miss the days of chrome and die cast so whrn mecha are solid plastic but overall the only mevha line is bad is US ver of Japanese ver when it gets cheaper Kiramager only bad because no future combination or combined with other lines but Kiramager only solid mech line no vombi to other mecha lined

My main problem, is that these things are too small. Sure, we have a train transforming into a kaiju type villain robot, but other than that, I just don’t really see any point to this line. My other issue is that they don’t combine with each other.

The Kiramager DX mecha line is a little underwhelming, sure. But it's not the worst. The very next year had a much worse DX mecha line in Zenkaiger.

@@JoshFrisch I had a lot more fun with the Zenkaiger line. Multiple combinations, sound features, big stupid combination. The weakest was Zenkaijuoh but that still has combination options
