Also, it doesn't ever really seem effective. That guy with the tool wasn't even able to get a good grip on the wax. I feel like it's always barbers who think they can get an easy add on service but waxing is a skill in itself and that is not the way.

So irresponsible of a parent to perm a childs hair. I remember mom giving me a Toni (that's what we called it 60 years ago), and my eyes stung from the crap she used, and my head felt like it was on fire. I can only imagine this poor child. 😯
@lunagarcia349211 ай бұрын

I nagged my mom to let me get my hair Permed when I was 13( almost 14). Later that year I wanted to dye my hair but my mom told me not until the perm had grown out and trimmed away from the straight hair. I had to wait until I was 15 before I could dye it.
@halroxdynasty86835 ай бұрын
Idk but it's gonna also cause life long lasting hair damage too. I know so many bw who religiously perm, will not nourish their hair or deep condition, always trying to flatten it, and will never have growth. It makes me sad bc natural hair is beautiful...it's very much from a place of insecurity and bs social ideas of what hair should look like. Kids shouldn't have those chemicals in their hair. Meanwhile, as a ww, the viral video of JoJo Siwa is going around, her saying her mom has been dying her hair since age 2?! Blonde...So this baby girl has had bleach in her freaking scalp since she was a toddler 🙄 and then people want to wonder why her edges are fried off.

I endured a bad hairdresser for two years because she was a single mom and I knew she was struggling and felt guilty about not returning to her salon. She used to have someone helping her who was awesome with short hair, my style back then, she was so stylish and talented, and that's the reason why I had chosen the salon in the first place and faithfully returned every month. But this lady moved to another city and no one was hired in her place, so the owner started doing my hair (she was 😞 bad) but by then I had learnt about her personal circumstances She lost many clients when her hired hairdresser left, she had a little baby girl, she could hardly afford her rent, she had to resort to friends and family for support...I felt awful at the thought of leaving her but one day I had enough. I hated the cut so much that I decided I needed a totally different look and a new hairdresser. It was the right decision, of course. I have been wearing my hair long for years by the way, and I don't dye it so I visit the salon only once every three months or so.
