The Worst to Best Games for the AGEIA PhysX Card

There are hundreds of games that use the PhysX API on a basic software level but very few were made to take advantage of AGEIA's "Physics Processor Unit" and push it to it's fullest potential. This video is a look at the 15 or so titles that pushed the AGEIA PhysX card to it's limits.
(At last, my longest video project is complete! This video project has been stewing on the back burner for about a year or so.)

My brother had a physx card back in the day and I though Warmonger had the best physics in the world. He was a bit pissed when nvidia added physx on their graphics cards, but was impressed how the 8800GT ran it faster than the AGEIA card.

Though it did work with the PhysX card, it didn't do it very well, stuttering at a consistent 11 fps. Same goes for the first Batman - Arkham Asylum. Which is why I left them out, they were built for GPU physX.

Best for GPU, ran at 11fps if using AGEIA Card, same story for first Batman Arkham game.

This is the first video of yours that I have seen but I think you did an awesome job! There are some other youtube channels I watch that do the list breakdown thing really well but this felt like it just got way more in depth. Some other lists can be 10 items long and take like 12 minutes. I have to go checkout what the rest of your channel is about but I think you should do more informative lists like this.

All are physics engines in their own right, PhysX was the first to commercially run on Video Cards or their own dedicated "Physics Processor Units"

I like it mohawkade. It makes me appreciate my second rig with.....an....AMD card(can I say that here?) And my Ageia Physx card still in use. Out of curiousity. Which operating system you have? I have been trying to get my copy of Switchball to work on Windows 10 with no luck.

I have Win10 as well, I think the trick is to try to copy some key files from the AGEIA PhysX drivers to get that game to work. I did make a video on how to do that. I have the physx card working on Windows 10, just not Switchball. I think I know what you are talking about with the old ageia drivers. I'll see what I can do.

If I'm not mistaken, that bin folder with the original drivers and the contents within is what you're looking for.

That was an Nvidia Physx demo, ran terribly on Ageia.

You missed Sacred 2, Borderlands 2 those are Nvidia PhisX related titles. Sadly, those effects are simply for visuals, and none of them are practical. Just looking nice. When enabled, only the higher tier cards can manage playable frame rate.

Cool video. I haven't heard of any of these games or their publishers. I remember seeing Batman with physx on and thought that's how I want to play that game. Now all new games don't even have that and I didn't even know they made so many games with that physx look. I always like Nvidia cards so I was happy to have one that can play games with PhysX on. By the way that number one physx game looked like a newer Marble Madness game. I might want to try it out.

That all really depends on what game is being played and how(where) you're allocating your PhysX to be calculated from.
