A few days back, GL reported that there was a skirmish between Momo and Gentaro. He did not witness the incident and could give no details. He said the keepers did not witness the incident but did see the gorillas running around afterwards. In subsequent days, I saw a video on another channel that showed the keeper applying medication to Gentaro's forehead with a swab. Gentaro was very brave - he followed the keeper's instructions and lowered his head for the application. This is all the information I know. Happy gorilla watching! 🦍🦍

I listened to the video. The only talk about monkeys that I heard was when GL spoke about the donation of apples from Aomori Prefecture. He said Aomori is the coldest region in the world where monkeys inhabit, and that the monkeys use the hot spring bath in the mountains. As you may know the City of Kyoto is located in the Kyoto Prefecture and that is where the Momo Family is located. Some info about GL which you may not know - he is an active advocate for western lowland gorilla generally, and the Momotaro Family specifically. He has been published in several newspapers as well as being interviewed by media. His work about the Momotaro Family has been on local television. I'm certain he knows the difference between monkeys and gorillas. Happy gorilla watching to you. 🦍
