I feel like it was a plan A and potential B situation. They all originally wanted to just do Rock vs Roman but were prepared to make changes based on fan reaction, and many, myself included, wanted to see Cody's story first and the family beef later. So they were forced to change the plan, I definitely feel the Rock didn't want this but agreed to it in the end, and now we have Cody in the main event. I saw someone say masterful storytelling, now I fully admit this is very entertaining stuff and makes someone like me who has tuned out of WWE want to watch again, but it is the Benoit, Bryan story again which there is nothing wrong with that but it's not like we've never seen something like this before. It's a little different, it's still super interesting, all the talent is putting their best foot forward but keep in mind the parallels are quite obvious.
