What would you like to see on future episodes of FPV Trick Theory?
@pimenett Жыл бұрын
As a shitty pilot, I find it very useful to see the movements that the drone must make; FPV videos can confuse an inexperienced pilot. I once saw a video of a guy showing the trick movements with the drone in his hand and I found it very immediate. Thanks!

i have a suggestion maybe i found myself wondering for like most of the video what trick you were acutally building up to maybe it would be nice if you show the trick once at the start of the video?

My Taz trick is 6yo and I still haven't seen any other pilot do it, the low speed Tax is quite a bit easier. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jIjOiYVrd5t0oNE FYI: It is a three part trick, 1. Start with two motors down spin (not a funnel as spinning around COG) and control altitude, looks like a "X" 2. Then transition to one motor down while increasing rpm while controlling altitude and then gain some altitude, looks like a "+" with a slight wobble as it still has a slight vertical trust to keep the quad from falling, 3. Then finish off with vertical corner flips @ zero thro and max spin rate (but loses altitude as no vertical thrust component). Here is the slow speed version and the three parts kzbin.info/www/bejne/jnPQh6mqqayfebc

Also when in the "+" part of the trick you can mow the grass and stay alive (most times)

Pretty sure Matty Stuntz was the first pilot i saw do this. Crazy how 8-9 years later we're still trying to emulate how he flew. Such a legend. Nice TUT!

Probably same radio too

LOL I was pretty shocked to see a DX8 still too. whatever works, works. I was running my X9D for way too long so can't hate. @@DigitalCruzer

Yeah Mattystuntz is on a different planet. And let's not forget he flew 6-inch! How long do I have to rock the DX8 for it be cool? 😂

@@djSpinege my first radio was a turnigy evolution when it came out like 7 years ago, it was like most comfortable radio ever but i could wiz as far, i went from failsafesky, i mean flysky to a preordered zorro elrs a few years ago and then i could actually fly

Great video, I’ve been using this technique the last year or so and it really helps the dynamics of my flying and keep things more interesting, this also helps get into more backwards flying and also trippy stuff
@TimmyRC Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yeah it's much more interesting than a plain turn!

You're a (rare) Spektrum user. Instant respect and subscription as I've flown Spektrum fixed wing for over 25 years. Though I still fly mostly fixed-wing gliders, I do have a few quads and whoops. It would be great if you could do a few more videos in Spektrum-specific setups, and what you have learned
@TimmyRC Жыл бұрын
I've flown fixed wing for much longer than I've flown drones, hence why I never bothered to ditch Spektrum. I might make a video about it; main thing for a freestyle-sized quad is to use a satellite receiver as the only receiver

This is one of the coolest tricks people do and glad you explained how! Definitely going to give this one a try. Glad to see ya still flying 🤜👌

This is how some people begin a trippy spin right? Fun move, thanks for sharing the mechanics of it.

Good tips.. i like the way you break things down... Looks like that is good way to get into a trippy spin

Good stuff! Maybe a video on your thoughts on building trick runs: linking up tricks, creating a flow, adding style...

Thanks! There will definitely be a more abstract episode on flow!

Is this in ACRO mode? I am trying the stick movements in Liftoff. My left throttle is left/down like you have and my right stick is to the right.. and all that happens is my drone wants to flip right and eventually crash. I am not rotating at all.

Great video! Is this basically trippy spin but only once?
@bluefpv3263 Жыл бұрын
ye its like the entrance to a trippy but after you passed the tree basically did this countless times while learning the trippy on accident but i think it looks good if you do it intentionally
@TimmyRC Жыл бұрын
Yeah this is an endless initiation of a trippy spin. During an actual trippy spin the sticks are basically stationary, but for "inside out 180s" the pitch and roll inputs are constantly changing.

Some of those felt like you we're initiating a trippy and then immediately aborting. Might be a good way to add a stall to your line.
