i never had a lipo eject mid roll. most importand to me is make sure there is 0 slack in the lipo strap and put the metal thingy from that strap on the side of the lipo so your can maximize the area it hold on to itself

Yes I got a four-wheel drive stampede 4 wheel drive stampede remote control car and the drivetrain to the middle you got two gearboxes what would make it do a limited slip before it takes off cuz it used to pop a wheelie when you took off and grab the ground now it's not now you got to riv it up are you going to ease into it to make it it's not working like it used to in the drivetrain it's slipping

your not in expert mode my betaflight looks completely different lol
@TimmyRC24 күн бұрын
Yes I was purposely not in expert mode because it limits the filtering sliders; That way hopefully the viewers don't immediately fry their motors. If you're not getting hot motors or review the raw gyro Blackbox data and want less filtering, expert mode allows you to run more aggressive filter settings

This is definitely not a beginner plane. The box actually States that it is a second plane for intermediate pilots. If you have never flown anything Remotely you will be extremely disappointed. You will need a big bottle of CA foam glue. It is not EPP foam and therefore is not as flexible as beginner planes and will snap and dent far easier as it is much more delicate. You would be way better off with a plane like The Apprentice stol as this plane is much more forgiving, more flexible and less likely to break. Until you can fly successfully out of safe mode I would not attempt to fly this plane. Unless of course you have very deep pockets and can afford to keep on buying new ones.

What would be a way of using electronics, laser pulses, & detection of the return pulse to detect thermals?m Thermals usually have higher water vapor content. Lasers Are used in airport awos's to detect Cloud heights. However, water vapor (in thermals) may better reflect differect wavelengths.😢

This hobby got me into hang gliding in the 80’s. Loved to thermal! Kinda aged out of that sport. Might get back to my roots of rc sailplanes. Almost as much fun.

i think current sound of the drone that you have is verry misleading as to how the sound is actually like. you can hear it sometimes over the background. it sounds cooler but its hard to visiualise how much the drone is throtteling in certain situation. lots of people do this actually how do you do that wizzing sound is that a filter? or maybe a muffled mic?
@TimmyRC2 ай бұрын
My freestyle drone uses 6 inch twinblades, not 5 inch triblades like most people, so it sounds much different

Dang, that stinks..I have the same luck you do. Just makes us try harder and get better I guess. On the bright side, anti gravity & rpm filter weights are about all that changed tuning wise on 4.5, I think it was mostly gps stuff. Thanks for vid Timmy! Looking forward to the next! Edit: slam it!

Depends on what you do with the car and your tolerance to discomfort… For cars I race and crash, airbags obviously get pulled immediately. For cars I drive for fun: I don’t mind having straight exhaust (but still quietish), more difficult to get in seats, hard mounted (suspension, differential, and transmission), but keep the engine mounts relatively soft so my car doesn’t vibrate like crazy when idling. On this type of car it’s almost always: controls, wheels/tires/brakes, suspension tuning, differential, and then I go from there depending on the car. For more “commuter” cars I focus on balanced performance tires and suspension (not too noisy or harsh) for comfortable high speed cruising. I want it to be fun and comfortable and not get sick of clunks from a super tight LSD when I’m reversing or excessive discomfort or difficulty getting in and out. My 90s single huge turbo V12 long wheelbase bimmer was a little too low and scraped every hill and speed bump but was otherwise perfect as a super fun German muscle car commuter. Haven had a more fun or fast commuter since. The Model S is the closest but nowhere near as comfortable, and it runs out of acceleration and battery way too fast. Be aware that there is a retraining period when you change your steering wheel. Kinda like changing your transmitter in FPV.

the mistake a lot of noobies soldering make is they try to de-solder stuff DRY.. if you tin your iron before you de-solder it transfers more heat into the joint you are DE soldering..
@TimmyRC4 ай бұрын
Thanks for the tip! I did tin the iron multiple times to get as much heat as I could into the joint, but in this specific instance I think I just needed more wattage.

How do you manage the Karman vortices from the tube arms relative to the tune?
@TimmyRC4 ай бұрын
Karman vortices only occur within a certain range of Reynolds numbers. Doing a quick calculation, the Reynolds number for the Tubular Quad arms is way higher than the range where Karman vortices occur. Practically, I've never experienced any tuning anomalies with the Tubular Quad.

Great build like it very much . Now do you think when is time to buy the motors for a build similar to this one when ordering motors maybe the motors wires are long enough so is no need to add and solder wires ?. And if they don't come that long maybe it can be order to that specific length? Thank you.
@TimmyRC4 ай бұрын
Thanks! If I ever have Timmy RC motors I will make sure they come with longer wires!
@pitfireproducts4 ай бұрын
If you normally use leaded solder then when trying to de-solder factory components that use lead free solder (hoter melting point) you should bump the temp up a bit and then you can use a bit of leaded solder to get the flow going also flux helps a ton! Cool build man!
@TimmyRC4 ай бұрын
Thanks for the tips! I did use a bit of leaded solder and had the temp maxed out, so in this case I really think it was a soldering iron wattage issue
