As a Mongolian, Yalta conference was live saver. Stalin has made it clear to if status quo of Outer Mongolia isn’t to be accepted by allies, he wouldn’t open Manchurian frontier to fight of Japanese army. Before that most of the world still believed that Mongolia was break away province of China. Yalta conference maybe left the expression of Mongolia being satellite state of USSR, but it definitely helped the independence of our country.

Now it’s a satellite of China. 96% of economy depends on China. So called nationalism didn’t help much. Inner Mongolia is way more significant no matter economically or culturally.

Thanks for this awesome video! Great summary. I was wanting to know more about the Yalta Conference and this helped a lot. To me, there's something really cool about seeing the "Big 3" having come together in such dire times. It's too bad its results ended up being controversial.

Why is Ireland highlighted as being part of the United Kingdom in 1946? 4:40 Ireland had been independent since 1921..

It was globally known as the Yalta Conference but it was secretly known as Rendezvous with Sophia. Aka Golden Girls Reference and if you know it, then your a true person of culture.

@@not_a_human_beingIt couldn't be disputed because it's recognized as Ukrainian territory. The occupation is unlawful and lacks legal authority, treaties, or conventions

@@waap1949 "occupation" means that there's no civil authorities, but the territory is controlled by the military. Crimea is a Russian territory from Russian Constitution point of view. People have Russian passports, their own elected representatives, etc. Crimea is not "occupied", but instead is fully integrated within Russia. I agree that it's disputed by Ukraine.

@@not_a_human_being occupation means capturing the foreign territory to which has no sovereign right, without the consent of the government of the occupied state. and it doesn't matter what happens on this lands in the occupation it's not right the called this state of Russia, just add "occupied by Russia". so author also not right saying just "territory of ukraine" it's "territory of Ukraine occupied by Russia now".
