@@sladestryder5264 I grew up in Federal Way/Auburn. Never had the interest in riding street bikes until I moved to Utah in 2019. There are a lot more good riding days (weather wise) here.

I run an 03-05 R6 throttle tube on my Ninja 400. It's about 3/8" less throw than stock and makes a big difference.

I got a r6 throttle tube as well but idk if it's the right one. I got it from sportbiketrackgear so it was the right one. It just seems like it didn't do much

The reason why the torque specs looks higher than normal in the manual because they are measuring the torque for the thread size not for the bolt or nut head size, I did this mistake too, broke one of the bolts and It's a pain in the ass to get the thing out

The r6 throttle tube cam that the cable wraps around is bigger making the need to twist so far to get to wot a lot less.

Super fun episode. Laughed so much with the camera jokes. Also the bike parking at that coffee shop seems like a great hang out place. Fun little ride as well. Also loving the sound of the V4, so good. Curious what exhaust you will run on the GSX-R. Wonder if it'll be Yoshimura, LeoVince or something, so many great brands out.

"when you turn the R6 throttle it goes", yeah because it makes double the power, and possibly similar torque. Would make sense. I'd bet my left nut again that the R7 has the exact same throttle tube like on the mt07, which is also on their 125's, 150's, 250's and 300. But on a technical standpoint I don't quite understand why people want a shorter throw, sure you rev fully faster but you also get less control of the gas no?

Hey @adobomoto I've got a question and would like to hear any advice I can. I am 22 years old, I learnt to ride on a suzuki ts125, my 1st bike after that was a ninja 300 I crashed about 2 years ago when a driver made an illegal u turn and my bike was wrecked (fairings and dash and lights) aswell as my ninja 300 I would ride my fathers k1 gsxr 1000cc, I am living in south africa at the moment but by the end of this year I am moving to the UK. I have always loved the look and sound of the r1 and r6 and feel drawn to them no matter what, however with the weather and rules in the UK I am starting to think that an r7 might be better over the r6 (I will not go to an r1 yet both based on my riding skills, altho I am confident on my father's bike, and the strict rules in the UK an r1 won't be practical) so the r7 seems to be the answer over the r6 I've watched your videos on the r6 vs r7 however the conditions in the UK are different to where you are. The r6 sounds amazing and has the power while the r7 sounds like nothing but has the "power" that will be allowed and usable in the UK while being fun and not breaking major laws. Aswell as the r7 being slightly cheaper for a 2022 model compared to the newest r6 still available. My question is what would you do in my situation. And if the r7 is the answer what "mods" should be done to it to make it more r6-like 😂. Sorry for the long comment but this has been on my mind. I mean if the manual states xy-Poundfeet/Nm (which is what I would assume Japanese people would state) and the bolt snaps can't you send the bill to Yamaha/Suzuki/etc.?
